Hi,

If you have a product on clickbank is it possible to sell it through your own affiliate scheme at the same time??

    Yes.

    Clickbank is a retailer.

It's nothing to do with them where else you sell the product.

But many serious, professional Clickbank affiliates (i.e. the ones you most want, who know what they're doing) won't promote a product that has another, non-Clickbank sales-page, or another, non-Clickbank way to pay. These are just about the biggest "leaks" there can be, from the affiliate's perspective. Many affiliates will choose instead a product that doesn't give us that problem.

      Hi Alexa

Yes I see it makes sense. So it's best to keep them totally separate for the sake of attracting the super affiliates that could really make a difference to your bottom line?

I think so, yes. The thing is, with Clickbank affiliates, vendors selling more than a certain volume are likely to find that 10% of their affiliates bring in 90+% of the affiliate-referred sales, and those are exactly the ones who probably won't look at a product that's also for sale elsewhere.

It's like many other "considerations for vendors" about Clickbank products and sales pages, I suspect: most of what you do won't matter much to 90% of the potential affiliates; unfortunately, it's the other 10% who produce your income.

There's more discussion of this point, if it helps, here, here, here and so on.

The short answer is yes, you can still sell your own product as an affiliate...

Yes you can, Digital Access Pass "DAP" integrates perfectly with ClickBank and has its own affiliate program.

So, you can sell the products through clickbank and run your own affiliate program through DAP.

    Here's the scenario guys,

I have a membership site which sends out physical products (and has it's own affiliate programe) but I want a purely digital version which could be a downsell (cheaper because there are no physical products to send out) and this could be listed on clickbank. The sales pages are similar but not identical.

Is there a way in which an affiliate who joined the physical product affiliate scheme could also get paid for the downsell (the digital site) if the vistor decided to purchase this instead?

In the same way u mentioned Shannon with DAP although I'm not sure I want to change the main affiliate scheme. I've just started using a Network software which is quite flexible maybe I should talk to their support desK.

I'd suggest to you that for this purpose, e-Junkie might be a lot more convenient (not to mention a lot less expensive) than Clickbank. You could perhaps do it by making all the affiliates from your own scheme your e-Junkie affiliates for that product? (Not so easily done at Clickbank, and difficult - not impossible - to exclude others, though that might not bother you?).

        Hi,
But isn't e-junkie a shoppingcart ? Whereas clickbank is an affiliate network?

You can use e-Junkie as a one-product sales channel, have your own affiliates there, and pay them yourself. (Unlike CB where the affiliate payment side of things is all handled for you automatically, which is of course what you're paying their 9% average charges for!).

That is the downside to e-junkie. You are responsible to pay the affiliates yourself and to file all appropriate taxes and legal stuff. (If it exceeds $600 a year)

You can use 2 payment processors if you like. A suggestion made to me was to set up 2 different sales funnels.

Different landing pages for each sales processor you go through.

Alexa is also correct in that some affiliates will not promote a product if listed in more than one affiliate program due to 'leaks'.

It does make sense, that if you have your product listed with more than one payment processor, then you can pick up more affiliates, resulting in more sales.

But, from an affiliates point of view, they do not want to be bothered with "problem products".

There are nightmare stories all over the place where vendors don't pay...etc.

Since DAP integrates with CB, you should talk to their support team and see if they can't help you do what you are looking to do.

BTW - Do you like working with DAP. Seems like a bit of a learning curve, or not really?

Another option is to sell through DigiResults.com

You can sell on Clickbank, PayDotCom and DigiResults.com using a single sales page and we make sure the right affiliate (from whatever network) gets the sale.
