I have a bunch of poker related domain names, none are developed. I have sold a number of sites, and have pretty good luck at Sitepoint, not great success with EBay, have never tried Sedo, Afternic or any of the rest. I know we have a lot of experienced domainers here - any advice on where best to post these? |

Melody, I have always done well at Sedo and Afternic. It will take time to have your domains noticed by the right buyer, but both of these places are good for passive sales. I would recommend parking your poker domains at Fabulous.com while waiting for a buyer. They are better than average in parking revenues for poker names. |

Thanks! I was leaning towards Sedo, so that's good to hear. I am definitely overloaded on domains at the moment - time to clear a few out of the portfolio!

With sedo you have to wait until you get a bid or have a broker allow you to start an auction. Here's a site that can help you get that first bid of $60 or more at sedo and the site does have the approval of Sedo management. It's not mine BTW: PushToAuction.com Another forum to sell is at Namepros.com |

Also, eBay is probably not the best to sell one domain or a few, but if you have a lot of them and want to start selling then I suggest getting a store. Then start selling and give the customers good deals. They will come back and spend more money. I just started a few weeks ago and am finding that there is a way to make money from domains on eBay.

Thanks, Tim - this is pretty much a one shot deal - I don't tend to sell my domains too often - just doing this because these are all internet gaming domains that I won't be developing as sites myself. Hope the store works out for you - we pretty much got out of EBay over the past few months due to some of the changes they have made - hubby had 4 stores at one point! |
