I have some add on Hostgator domains which I publish to using XSitePro.

    This is how I publish:

Go into the Publishing Tab in XSP. Enter your Domain name, your FTP Server, the FTP directory (for me its public_html/domainname, where domainname is a folder in your public_html directory), the FTP Username, and the FTP password. Click the test ftp connection button - if this is successful, click to publish your website.

If this doesnt work, double check the ftp directory - sometimes Hostgator adds the '.com' to the folder name...

You have your main domain (domain.com for this example). You have a folder your add on domain was put on. It ends up being something like this: domain.com/foldername

For the ftp address in xsitepro it's your maindomain.

    For the folder it's public_html/foldername/

Your username/password are the same as your maindomain

    What stma said is correct.

Note that the domain field in the publishing details is NOT this domain, but the main domain for that hosting account.

Also press the test button there to make sure you have the login info correct.

      Aren't I always? Kidding --

On a side note - feel free to PM me with some of those details and I'll tell you exactly what to put in each field. Once you get "one" right you can always refer to it in the future if you get confused.
