Not at all a sarcastic title.

I recently trigged a money limit in my PayPal account that caused extremely restrictive limitations to be placed.

Contacted PayPal and after all the horror stories, I truly feared the worst.

What happened? A jovial Irish fella talked me through a few things, I waited patiently and he said "Magic! Limitations are removed".

Easy as that, of course I sympathise with everyone who's had problems with PayPal but credit where credit is due.

They sorted the problem out quickly and it's back to business. Nice swan.

    Nice to hear a good customer service story about paypal!

    Now, when we all have a problem, we can just ask for the Irish guy....lol.

    Good to hear that your faith has been somewhat restored in Paypal. Were you offered a more detailed explanation as to why your account was frozen in the first place?

      Did they give any more info on why they froze ya, or a generic answer?

      The limitations were triggered after I received a large payment and I went over a certain amount, apparently I needed to verify some information due to some EU laws.

      I didn't ask why I'd been limited on the phone, just told them I'd like them to be removed.

      Just like to say if anyone's account is limited, don't waste time with emails, phone them up. I live in the UK so naturally rang the Dublin call centre instead of the international call centre but as someone has said - ask for the Irish Guy!

    ah, you're lucky; i had my share of problems with paypal; i don't know, i just don't like the way they solve issues through e-mail; everything is so impersonal, and sometimes the way they "translate" the situation doesn't really have anything to do with your case. i'm glad some people have good stories about paypal, and not bad ones. cheers!

    Yeah, the Irish fellas and lassies are very easy to work with.

    Upgrade to a Business Account (or whatever it's called right now). They're much less jittery because of all the checks you've had to go through to register the business, get a business bank account etc.
