What do you consider to be the best web hosting service? I was going to use Ipage but they wanted 45 dollars to start off with. I have been looking at 1 and 1 and they look ok. I bought my domain name from them. They have a pretty good package for 9.99 a month, but I was hoping for something a little cheaper. Has anyone here used Ipage? Is the 45 dollars upfront worth it?

I prefer a service that you can pay for the whole year like Bluehost (like $59-&69).(save too)
A couple times a received a new credit card and the monthly payment failed and they took like 10 of my sites offline ;-(

Search for coupons for Hostgator. You can get started cheap and their monthly rates are as reasonable as you can get.

I suggest you go with a host who offers cpanel/fantastico control panels. ipage and 1and1 don't.

hosting24 is cheap, only $5/month. but i don't know their services. they own 000webhost. from what i heard, 000webhost affiliate program is a scam, it's hard to believe someone that has scam reputation. give a dog a bad name.

They've actually had quite a bit of negative publicity in this forum, some of it rather strongly worded and forceful. I'm just saying.

Hostgator certainly have a great reputation and excellent customer service, though they may not be the cheapest.

I've been using Hostgator for about a year now, and the only thing i have an issue with is their affiliate program. The system seems a little jacked up.

Their web page is slower than my van. I'm not sure I'd want to host there.

I'm personally using a VPS. I prefer having total control of everything. Currently using a rather cheap one, but I definitely plan on raising my budget once I get some real momentum going.

If you're looking for inexpensive (but not the cheapest) hosting, you can't go wrong with Hostgator as they have really great customer and technical support, and I haven't had any issues at all in using them for most of my sites.

You'll get a much better deal if you pay the annual rate (I believe there is an even cheaper plan where you pay two years in advance).

I have never heard of GVO, so I googled them. Their binary hybrid matrix plan sounds fascinating. Not even HostDaddy has that.

I've got several HUNDRED sites on Hostgator. I wouldn't want to host anywhere else.

    Here's why.

    1) They will move your site to their servers for free. That can be worth several hundred dollars of IT work if your site is complex. Doesn't matter to them, though. They'll move it for you.

    2) It's $10 a month, more or less, depending on the level of service you choose. But you can do a LOT with that $10/month. Discounts for buying a year in advance.

    3) They'll configure your email to be handled via Google Apps for you. All you need to do is sign up with Google. Hostgator tech support will do the rest.

    4) Rock solid hosting. Never had any downtime with them. Ever.

    5) Incredibly STANDARD hosting. Cpanel and Fantastico. Perfect.

    6) 24 tech support via either chat or phone. If you want to test it out, go ahead and do it. Just go to their page and click the chat link at the top right. I'd be surprised if you don't have your question answered in minutes.

I don't know the rules here about posting affil links (I'm still new here on Warrior, though I've been using Hostgator for 2 years, and in IM for a LOT longer). If this is not kosher, let me know and I'll edit the post. But if you want to thank me for the info, use this link:

Web Hosting Services, Reseller Hosting, and Dedicated Servers by HostGator (hostgatorfreetransfer.com)

If that's not allowed, then go directly to Web Hosting Services, Reseller Hosting, and Dedicated Servers by HostGator (directly to hostgator.com)

Top notch, whether you use my link or not.

Good luck with your new business.

Im using bluehost and at the moment i do not have any problems with them. Although you have to pay upfront for 1 year at least, they have a pro-rata refund policy so you will only pay for the months which you use their hosting. So if you use only 2 months into your 1 year package and you want to refund, they will refund you back 10 months of your money. Hope this helps!

Hosting24 - I have used hosting24 for over a year and I have had no problems with their service. The only issue I have had has been a bad hard drive a few days ago that they had to replace. They found a problem on a maint. check. Inconvenient but at least I know they are checking their equipment. I have had no problem with their affiliate program. They pay according to their TOS. They also have a reseller program.

Hostgator - I have never used hostgator but I have heard it is a great service. They have a lot of happy customers on the WF.

Hostmonster - It was a great service until I began to get traffic on my sites. At that point I learned they have some kind of a file download limit. Unlimited? There is nothing worse than scrambling to get your sites back online and the only response from hostmonster support will be "so".

Bluehost - Owned by hostmonster. I know what "assume" means but still...

Bottom line is "read their TOS". Know what you are buying. At the end of the day the sales page is meaningless and the TOS is king.

You can definitely get a plan for significantly less than $9.99 per month with just about any host, as long as you pay in advance. If you pay for a year or longer in advance, it is pretty much a given you'll pay a lot less, no matter which host you choose. It just comes down to choosing a host you're comfortable with that is reliable, and has excellent customer service.

      hi,
I 'm using low cost web hosting,StableHost who have provided me with great customer and technical support,24/7,they responded to me in less than an hour for most of my issues.Their best shared hosting service plan for less than $8 monthly and can pay by monthly payments and also 60 days no questions asked money back refund guaranteed. It also allowed unlimited hosted domains and has a Cpanel interface.

I 'm glad to have found a reliable and trustworthy web hosting service for myself.

I suggest that you don't go with IPAGE. Their customer service is not too bad and they're super cheap but you'll find your website crashing all the time. I guess you get what you pay for...That's what happen with my blog. My blog doesn't even get a lot of traffic when I was on IPAGE but every couple of days or so my site would crash. I would get some error about "Server Connection" You don't want your website or blog crashing at all when you're making some money. 1and1 is ok I guess but I would never host with them. Most hosting companies don't offer a monthly payment. They say $9.99 a month or what have you but they actually want you to pay for the whole year.

The only place I know that offers monthly plan is HostGator.

    Hatchling Plan - $8.95/month

    Baby Plan - $9.95/month

    Business Plan - $14.95/month

You can choose to pay for the whole year or more but that's up to you...There's no setup or activation fee with them.

If you want to save some money you can use this coupon code

    SBCREATIVE

You that code on step 1. I used it and all I had to pay was 1 cent for my 1st month.

Good Luck To Your Online Success

Hostgator for me is the best value for money. In fact I host my websites on Hostgator.
Their customer support is simply amazing. When I started to build my own websites, I needed to get the best web host out there that I can afford. Anyone who's looking for a web hosting company to host their first website will find out that many web hosting companies offer a lot of information at you, that sometimes can confuse you instead of helping you. For a beginner who is new to web hosting just like when I started, this can either be very confusing and very intimidating.

I have research and compared different web hosting companies and after all the forums and review sites that I have been, one of them stands out as the BEST VALUE FOR MONEY web hosting company in terms of features, reliability, customer support and pricing. Plus they have discount coupons you can use so that you get to pay only $0.01 for your first month of hosting.

The discount coupon I am referring to is " GATORBONUS " just use that coupon code once you're asked to chose a domain name so that you get to pay only $0.01 for your HostGator Web Hosting. Try it, it will definitely save you money.

Don't use GVO. I won't rip on them here, but seriously bad idea. Hostgator rocks. They are the Toyota Corolla of hosting. Reliable and get the job done.
Rackspace is killer too, but they are much more expensive.
You get what you pay for with hosting, cheaper is not better.
