Tonight, I posted two posts on a blog, and got my post indexed, and ranked # 3 in 5 minutes! I did it earlier tonight in less than 13 minutes with another post.

Yes, I know the rank will jump around for a couple weeks. Yes, the keyword is a local keyword - "keyword cityname" type of keyword which is easy to rank for. But the ranking is not the point, it's the indexing speed. I'm impressed that G found them in 13 and 5 minutes or less and ranked them. I didn't do anything fancy other than All in One SEO plugin configuration and default Pingomatic. That's it!

Yep, the posts were for one of my clients. Who needs social bookmarking, backlinks, etc. when you have WP working to get you indexed! LOL

I think the real story here is G's love (and attention) for sites that get updated constantly, have quality/relevant information, and follow their rules. Play the game within their rules and they treat you well.

Very nice. Yeah, it's crazy sometimes how fast they can get picked up by Google and get indexed. Funny how it's always a nice feeling when it happens for some reason.

I am also using All in one SEO... But i my I cant see my page on the first page of google search... I hope I can gain success on my Little website...

And can anyone refer me the technique or steps on how to get google indexed?

Mark, I have experienced this with my local keyword phrases as well. Your WP blogs get ranked incredibly fast, especially if your domain name is an exact match for the keyword phrase you're trying to rank for - I assume that you are using a domain name that has the keyword phrase in it too?

Ya, it's great isn't it? Actually, I'm not using a keyword rich domain. The domain name is the name of the company, which has the word "door" in it, but the keywords I'm going after all start with "garage door...". So the domain name might be helping a little bit, but not much. Thanks for chipping in.

Exactly, the (default) pinging is what notified Google to come crawling. Works very well. My suspicion is that Google identifies your Blog as a site that gets updated often, and therefore is willing to crawl it sooner. Can't prove it, but that's my story anyway.

It's got nothing to do with "Wordpress".

It's Google being hungry for content.

You could post content on any platform out there that Google crawls regularly and it will be found and indexed quickly.

  I agree, I'm just saying that WordPress (or any good CMS) makes it so easy to crank out content and get ranked quickly. Lots of way to do that, I just like the speed with WordPress.

Google is remarkably quick since the caffeine update for sure. I'd also recommend the following plugin, which often gives almost instant indexing.

Hi there, yes that is the beauty of wordpress. I've been able to rank for phrases super fast, in fact once i set up a brand new blog, had it ranking on page 1 of google within an hour or so and actually made its first sale in its first day.

i wouldn't live without blogging.

I've got sites indexed within minutes more than once just by typing the domain into Google and searching for it. Google reported no results and then very shortly after sent one of it's little bots over to see what it was missing. I use WordPress for everything and love it, but it can't be credited with having any influence here because the Googlebot would not have known it was about to find a WordPress installation before it got there.

Unless we're talking Psychic Googlebot. Seriously scary

Chris, I religiously use All in one SEO, but I can't prove it's the reason I get good rankings. I guess I do it because it's a habit and it saves time. It makes it easy to edit parts of the page. If you don't use it, then do you manually edit your title/description/keyword tags on each page, or do it with a different plugin, or don't even bother with them?

Colleen, yes, the automated/easy/quick process is really hard to beat.

Diana, you're so funny! "Psychic Googlebot". Was that a typo...did you mean "Psychotic Googlebot" instead?

I think it's not WordPress per se, but the automatic pinging that takes place when you post that lures Google to your site.

I was taught to use All In One SEO too from the very beginning, and I do it now as a force of habit. Not sure if it actually helps or not, but as you've mentioned above it does make it easier and more convenient to edit the title, description and keyword tags for each individual page.

There are probably premium themes out there that have this feature, but the beauty of All In One SEO is that it works with any theme, regardless of whether it is free or paid.
