Who should YOU market to?

If you're going to sell something to someone else, there are really only 2 types of people you can sell to...

People who know less than you do (below your level of expertise)

-or-

People who know as much as you do (on your level)

The "Gurus" generally market to people below them. In most cases it's easier, a broader marketer, and makes you someone's better (ego boost).

But there is more money to be made selling to people on your own level.

Think of what you need in your business. Now create a solution to it - and sell it.

You're more than likely coming up some kind of plug-in or software (but possibly an info product) which has a much higher value than just a regular "how to make money with twitter" ebook.

Not only that, you're selling it to people who already have successful businesses and are willing to pay more for a product that will help them grow.

James, you're right on with this.

When I first started, I was selling to those who knew less than I did.

These days, I sell only to my peers - people who are already at some level of success. Why? They're a whole lot easier to sell to, they have more money, and our "conversation" (sales funnel) is a lot more honest and less hypey.

Plus, I make a whole lot more money this way.
