Since when are .tv domains $40??!!

I am scooping up some domain names, and the .tv domain is 40 bucks?? is this a good investment do you think, and for the domain I am buying it makes sense to have a tv domain, but what is the tv domain exactly?? whats the differences?

    In my opinion, except for a few extremely rare cases, this is a poor investment.

    Definitely not a good investment in my opinion - my guess is that the $40 domain you're looking at is one of those "premium" domains at Godaddy perhaps?
