How long does it take to get a CB Sale?

Was wondering how long is a reasonable time to expect to get your first clickbank sale?

I'm speaking after you have your site set up and begin article marketing.
Are there certian strategies that you implement, or is it as simple as submitting your articles to directories and just waiting for a sale?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Generally, you should get at least 1 sale per 200 hops.

    Unfortunately, it is not.

Though you'll eventually make a sale in a week or so, depending upon the amount of articles you're submitting and the product you're promoting. The smarter people build email lists, and optimize their articles for some low competition keywords.

The right answer is how long will it take you to get the person most likely to buy that product to land on your link to the sales page?

Some can do it in a few hops.... Others will send thousands of hops with no sales...

It depends upon a lot of factors including how well done
your sales page is. Many excellent products seldom sell
on Clickbank because of poor copywriting.

Timing also comes into play. How hot is the topic or
niche right now, and have similar products even stirred
    up more interest?

How good are your graphics? I've seen pages where
graphics that looked like they were done by a 3 year old
completely killed everything else... the reason that I don't
    do graphics

I'm sure others will point out other factors.

It depends on how soon you get targeted converting traffic. I once set up a brand new blog on Wodpress and got my first sale within 10 minutes. Mind you I didn't do any article marketing or any marketing whatsoever.

If the articles a crap you will not get as many sales but if there good quality articles that warms up the traffic leaving them wanting more of what you have then you will find you will get more sales.

just like what rob says it depends on how soon you get targeted converting traffic and if what your selling people are looking for.

If you spending 2 hours a day on your article marketing campaigns you could start seeing sales after two or three weeks in the internet marketing niche.

Too many factors to know for sure. It depends on the conversion of your landing page, the conversion of the product itself, etc. By the way, make sure you send at least 400 hops to something before you give up on it and I would recommend even higher, more like 1000 so you can start to see trends and conversion rate. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is sending the salespage like 40 hops and then giving up because you think you aren't making any sales. Also, keep your article marketing going for an extended period of time, don't give up after 5 to 10 and wonder where all the sales are.

There are too many factors and variables at play here. Giving you a definite timeframe would be misleading and inaccurate, and especially if you're doing article marketing a lot of it is going to depend on the quality of your articles, so there's absolutely no way to even give you a ballpark figure here.
