How Do You Get It To Show Number Of "Thanks" To The Left Of All My Posts?

I always thank people that answer my questions and offer advice in the Warrior Forum yet it shows zero "thanks" to the left of my posts. And of course that bothers me because it makes me look like an ungrateful bast%$#d. So how come it doesn't show any thanks for me?

Steve,

Are you posting to Warriors to thank them, or clicking the "Thanks" button at the bottom right of each post?

Only the latter actions are recorded in the stats on the left, as far as I am aware.

Steve, you have to click on the thanks button in order for your stats to
show. Actually thanking a person in a post doesn't mean the same thing.

That's what I don't like about software. Sometimes it doesn't really tell
the whole story.

Thanks Steven! Now I see that button and will be sure to use it from now on. I wondered how the heck they recorded that. If I hit the 'Thanks' button, how does the person I just thanked see that I thanked them? Do they get a PM from me?

I noticed that too, as almost all webmaster forums have it. We must remember that when someone here thanks a member using the button, his name will appear and therefore a free promotion on his part.

I just hope nobody here is thanking everybody....lol!

If you are logged in and look at the bottom right of the persons entry, you will see a "Thanks" button. It looks like this below here where I just copied and pasted it directly below my name. See it now?

I assume that the responses here helped you figure it out, since you now show 22 Thanks and no longer appear to be an ungrateful Bast%$#d -- lol.

Oh! you will not have one if you are checking your own message box, but others can see it.

Like Teresa, I don't have a Thank You button at the lower right of my screen next to the "Quick Reply" button. It disappeared about a week ago and has not come back. How do I get it to come back? Does anyone know? Thanks

Just like I said, I think you will not see it if you're reading your own message box and only others can see it.

To prove that you have one, I clicked on it and you can see the result right below your post. However, I will remove it later since clicking on it means I really "thank" you.

If you are just looking and not actually logged in, you will see the thank you button on your post. Once you log in, it will disappear. Perhaps you weren't logged in a week ago when you noticed it was there.

I asked a similar question about the "report" flag on the left side - why I didn't have one. Makes sense. Why would I want to report my own post?

Since many other forums have the "Thanks" button I was aware that I would not personally have it as I couldn't thank myself. But when I originally posted I did not have a "Thanks" button for anyone so I could not thank anyone else let alone myself.

Now that I have posted a bit more it has shown up where I am able to thank others. So Joan - it may be due to our newbie status that it does not show. Give it time, join the discussions, and it will show up eventually.
