What format should I make this ebook ?

Hi warriors,

Im preparing a freebie pdf ebook for publishing - in the hope to build a list with it,

whats the best size to make it as easy as possible to read - US letter size, A4 - is there a different size that would be better?

    Hi Dan

It is probably fine just putting it in the US letter size. People can alter the zoom to fit the width and scroll up and down, so it will not matter very much on a laptop or PC. It is also a good size for people wanting to print the pages. You will find a lot of people prefer to print off the pages and read offline.

If you add tagging to the pdf, you will also be able to read it on smartphones etc.

    Good luck with the ebook

A letter size is probably better, because it is easy to print and most people print using that size. Good luck with your ebook, and I hope It gets a lot of success.

I'm just concurring with what's already been said. US Letter size will be fine as people usually alter the zoom to fit their preferences and most, including myself, print off the PDF anyway to read elsewhere.

I agree too - most ebooks I get I print off and read some other time - don't make the pages too small or the printed text is going to be too difficult to read and please, one point from a person who always ends up getting pages scattered on the floor - please put page numbers on the finished file - it is a 2 second job and so many people don't bother to do it, lol.

    best wishes with your book

Thanks Lisa, I'm taking notes here - and I agree, page numbers are a must!

Hi Dan. I asked that very question on here a while back!

Why not export it in both sizes -- one for North America and one for the rest of the world?

    [Edit: I found it! http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...us-letter.html ]

Just plain ole' letter size for a PDF. Just be aware that if you ever publish it as an actual book (for example on Amazon) you will have to adjust the formating.
