Default Question about S3 Amazon, Joomla and popups for video

Hey guys wow what a mouth full...

Okay here's my question. I have a membership site setup on Joomla and have managed to get Amazon S3 working (all by myself).

What I'd like to do though is when someone clicks on the link that references a video I'd like it to display as a popup so I don't take the user off that page.

I have numerous videos that I use AllVideos plugin for joomla but not sure how to get this thing to popup a window instead of going to a whole new page...

Your thoughts

Hi Mike,

We created a specialized solution that does exactly what you are seeking to do. Its a video player that comes with an included dhtml layer which can be used in the link menu popup way that you described.

You can see some examples via the demo links at Transparent Video Player - h.264 Flash Video Player - Alpha Channel Video Player

My partner has told me that our project is joomla compatible but feel free to post a support ticket to ask him more about that aspect.

Also a free open source script that can be used in similar way is Greybox Redux however unlike ours it does not interact with video players like our Transparent Player and script does.

I have used Greybox another project but had to have it modified to resolve some of its bugs. No clue on how of if you can use it in Joomla.
