how can i find out a sites traffic?

i want to spy on my competitors and need a way to find out how many hits on average they get a day is there such a tool?

    You could check and see if their stats directory isn't password protected lol

    Stats pages come in many forms tho with many aliases

    Otherwise, unless you want to hack into their site (or google analytics) (don't do it) then NO.... there is not a legal way to do that.

    I think you can find what you're looking for at Alexa.com! They pretty much detail every type of traffic statistics for every website.

    Give it a look.

      If they have a decent amount of traffic you may be able to find them on Quantcast.com . That is a wonderland of information.

    Try Compete, Dont think you will find much better than that.

    Dont think you could ever spy on another website accurately.

    I use statbrain[dot]com

    They tell me exactly how much traffic a site is getting, there pretty accurate too, I tested it with a few my own sites, it cures my curiousity!
