Blueprinting - DO IT!

Story Time:
The first campaign I attempted was fail; however, I took the time to write down everything I was attempting and why/how it would work. So, I started with a second campaign trying to apply the lessons I learned and still writing everything down. During that time I met four people, partners, and sharing the documents seemed like it would become a hassle. Surprise, I found a reason for Google Wave (remember the mid '09 flop?) Every time I have ideas to share or campaign outlines, I write them down in a wave. We are in the process of planning and executing three more campaigns in parallel.

Here's the best part:

1. I could sell them as eBooks with minor editing when time comes.
2. Outsourcing and training becomes a breeze.
3. Great reference for future campaigns.
4. Organization makes parallel campaign execution very doable.
5. Less critical thought later, and more follow the steps.

My suggestions:

Format
Format is everything. Make sure that you follow the formatting in all similar types of documents. For example, all my campaign outlines use the header features available in google wave, with exemplary categorization I might add, so others (and maybe you after a couple years of not looking at it, you never know) have an easy time understanding the document as well.

Lists
Make a lot of them. Whether they are simply a timeline, or outlines of 'things-to-do,' lists make life easier. Linear thought processes have always been easy to grasp for humans, which is why many people have a hard time with quantum mechanics!

Completeness
Biggest mistake most people make is the lack of complete thoughts in their blueprints. Often, when I take notes in class, I think to myself "Oh, that's easy, I don't have to write that down." Come the day before the test, I look at my notes and wonder why pages are missing from my notes , only to realize they were never there to begin with .

How do you guys blueprint? Any suggestions of your own?
