Are these MLM or Viral sites any good I see ads for thousands of them? I am strictly selling niche items and not Bulk email blowers. Hey I just had an idea is there a software that would capture my spam and send my website info to them. I get enough spam I could have mucho customers.

I think there is an autoresponder that will fire back at spammers, I'm not sure what it is, but I've heard of it...

It's a very good way to confirm to them that your email address is an active, attended one, and that you've opened their email. Expect your email address to be sold on, and the quantity of spam you receive to multiply indefinitely.

(What - if anything - it has to do with the thread's title, I have no idea).

I wish it was that easy, spammers normally
don't use their own personal email
        addresses.

So if somebody steals from you, the best way to fix it would be to steal something of theirs in the hopes that they would pay for what they took?

Sorry, but to me you will be no better than they are, and YOU will run the risk of being reported to YOUR ISP and having your account shut down.

Besides, most of the spam you get uses a reply to address that doesn't get checked by a human anyway.

Sure, spam is a waste of time, but this way of handling it will just waste more of your time.

    All the best,
    Michael

    Mince pie and Brandy, anyone?

    Om nom nom.

(Just a pointless post to go with a pointless, nonsensical thread. )

I don't even like mince pies.

      I thought you'd never ask ...

(How can anybody "not like" mince-pies?)

The question about spamming spammers reminds me of
an event that happened to me.

I have about 80 different free special reports and
articles that were frequently requested by visitors
    to one of my sites.

So I decided to set each up on it's own autoresponder
    address, on my hosting account.

Each article or report had an email address like

    SpecialReport1@MyDomain.com
    SpecialReport2@MyDomain.com
    SpecialReport3@MyDomain.com
    SpecialReport4@MyDomain.com
    SpecialReport5@MyDomain.com
    etc.

    These were direct subscribe autoresponders.

Some enterprising individual harvested the unencrypted
email addresses from my site and apparently sold them
    to a lot of individuals.

One of those buyers spammed my autoresponders and then
had the audacity to file dozens of spam complaints when
my autoresponders dutifully sent him the special
    reports that he requested.

My host yelled at me (as a warning) but believed me
when I showed him my set-up, and the spammers emails
    to my autoresponders.

I elected to pull down those autoresponders.

A more gun-shy host would have probably simply shut
down my site rather than risk impacting all of the
customers on that shared server or IP.

    Food for thought :-)
