ok im starting to think this is impossible.

all i want to do is put the links to my files on my blog page..but i want to set it up so that if they share the link it blocks them after a certain number of attempts.

Heres what ive tried:

Ejunkie.com-- But i cant figure out how to redirect them to the page of my choice after the purchase is made...AND preferably i would like a solution that allows me to host the encrypted download links on my on blog.

DL Guard-- pretty much the same issue.

is there a way to keep download links on my blog but limit the amount of times the link can be downloaded, such as using expiring links.

It looks like an impossible wish...

You want your links on your blog (which is public, I assume) and also hidden by DLGuard (or another software) in the same time.

Can you give a rational explanation WHY would you want to do what you are trying to do?

I'm pretty sure you can set the thank-you page in DL guard.

If you're trying to make sure that no one else can do to that thank you page by sharing the link you could put some PHP in place and use the @$HTTP_REFERER data to determine if the user came to that link from the DL Guard purchase page then load an iframe to serve the content.

Users that came from DL guard get the paying-customer iframe and link sharers get the -pay-for-my-stuff-you-cheating-******* iframe.

I don't know the specifics of DLG... but even with a simple Paypal button you can redirect buyers to any page you want. (just study that 3rd section on the button creation page).

And the whole idea of these DL protection software is to make that page's URL combined with some unique string that would expire after the set period of time.

Sorry to say this but in my experience when people ask questions like yours it's always a lack of understanding the tool they have at their hand. If you own a tool, then study it to be able to use efficiently.
