Default Is Anyone A Member Of John Thornhill's Planet SMS?

And if so, do you know what's going on?

I just joined about a week ago. Once, right after I joined, I couldn't log into the site, but a few hours later, it was up again.

Today, I've tried numerous times to go to the site at http://www.planetsmsmembers.com/amember/member.php
and all I get is this error message:

Site error: the file /home/planets/public_html/amember/rconfig-ioncube.inc.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

I emailed them about 12 hours ago, but no response. I'm worried. I thought it was a great program for beginners, but I'm worried now. Did I make a mistake? Did they take my money and run?

Anyone have any info?

Thanks.

Hi Esr,

I've worked with John when I integrated DLGuard with PlanetSMS, and he's a good guy, and runs a great forum with a lot of dedicated fans.

So don't worry, he hasn't taken your money and run!

From that error is looks like his hosting provider upgraded his version of PHP on his server, which has basically stopped Amember from running correctly.

I'm sure he'll have it fixed soon!

cheers
Sam

I'm also on of John's subscribers, and as said above, don't worry. John is not the kind of guys to take your money and run.

Hi Esr

John is one of the good guys - in fact he's probably the person I trust the most online. His program is simply awesome which is why he has so many raving fans.

Dan Sumner does a fantastic job running his helpdesk but you'll need to give him more than 12 hours to respond, as when you posted this thread it was night time here in the UK.

In case your email got lost you might want to post a ticket below...

I know how frustrating it is when these things happen but John will have the error fixed in a flash, and the content is definitely worth the wait.

Don't worry - John's program is ace and they offer great customer support too so if your email got through I'd expect a reply shortly.

Thanks

Lee McIntyre

Hi

I have it on good authority from my business partner, pjCheviot, that John's hosting has been undergoing changes over the weekend - some of the Forum stuff had to be rolled back and they are still working on that.

As mentioned before, it is still early morning here in the UK so I would think you should get a response fairly soon.

I am also on several of John's lists and from what I know John's team are NOT likely to have "done a runner!"

I know it is frustrating, but hopefully you will soon be back to normal again.

All the best . . . .

Kind Regards
Auntie Jo

I think everything is back up and running again!

Hosting/server problems were at fault.
