I'm kicking off a new promotion of my website. My SERPs have slipped lately and I'm eager to pull them back up as quickly as possible. So I've published some good new original articles on my site. I just used pingoat.com to ping the new page urls. Am I correct in assuming this will send Google and the others to spider my site? How does this differ from an RSS feed? Should I do that as well? This may look ignorant for an "advanced" warrior but I spend most of my time on copy and content. I really want to learn how to use RSS. |

Definitely take your site RSS feed/s and submit them to the major feed aggregators. It is different than pinging.. your RSS feed gets indexed in the feed aggregators and creates you a) backlinks b) ability to rank in the serps from the feed aggregators c) visibility to those that visit the feed reader sites/aggregators. I have a list of feed sites you can submit to in the guide at FREE RSS Tips but for sure send to FeedAgg.com | The Best Blogs and Feeds on the 'Net - Beta and www.feedage.com Take care Karen |
