Facebook the 2 Headed Traffic Munching Monster

Hey everybody, I wanted to share how I used Facebook Groups along with the Facebook
Fan page to drive SUPER Targeted traffic to my niche.

Back in February this year I read a post in the Warrior Forum about using Facebook Groups to drive traffic.

I immediately decided to implement this technique.

The websites I created are in the guitar lesson market, I know the 2 biggest Guitar manufacturer Brands are Fender and Gibson. At that point I created a group name for each of those brands.

Facebook Group name "Fender Guitar Fans" & "Gibson Guitar Fans" Both groups now have
over 5,000 members.

I created a Facebook Fan Page for one of the websites I created GuitarJamz (25,000 plus
fans).

I run contests plus cross promote each other and the results have been Awesome.

I wanted to share this because when i see actual case studies in other niches it often
sets off the light bulb in my head on how I can use that idea in my niche.

    Great job on getting that many people to sign up for your groups.

    I'm interested in learning more about Facebook marketing strategies, so I hope you don't mind me bugging you with a bunch of questions.

    What kind of info do you share with your groups?

    How often do you share info with them?

    Are you getting the fans to sign up for your mailing list?

    You mentioned the results have been awesome. What kind of results have you got? I'm not looking for dollar amounts ... just an idea of the kind of results it's producing.

      Great post, Tim. And more importantly, this is another example of how implementation is everything.

      Also, the "contest" idea is a good one. I'm not personally big on entering contests, but I know that most people go crazy for them. Was thinking of giving out an iPad or something similar to my own market.

    Great story... interesting approach... but.. umm... the GuitarJamz.com page I see on Facebook only has 20 fans.

    Far cry from 25K... am I missing something?

    Facebook is amazing for traffic ..... if its used correctly. Many people just spam the hell out of facebook and generate short term traffic rather than long term traffic.
