Best way to backup?

Curious as to what you guys think is the best way to go about managing a backup process for a fairly large site (80000pages)? Im currently not doing anything which I know is stupid! Cheers, Rob

    If you're talking WordPress, then

    1. WordPress › WP-DB-Backup « WordPress Plugins

    2. Have it send to your gmail account.

    That way it back ups your entire site, and it's 100% automated.

      This is what I do, for 80 000 pages though, not sure how big that will be to mail yourself daily, I would personally chat to my host provider and see what they can suggest.

      It's generally a good idea to back up your entire server in case of crashes/getting hacked.

    I think the template you used must have backup function which you can use for backups. Of course, you also can download all data in order to recover your site when you need.

    I'd suggest Handy Backup (handybackup.net), easy-to-use website backup software. The program supports file filtering and allows backing up only texts, images, or any other specific data from your website.
