Affiliates Not Sending Promised Bonuses = Jerks

It happens once (Rich Schefren) and I figure, "oh well, I'm sure a ton of people ordered and I got lost in the shuffle."

It happens TWICE (Andrew Fox) and I have to figure that this is the norm and not the exception.

What the hell?

Emails go unanswered and I guess the bonuses were never coming to begin with.

Anyone else have a problem getting promised bonuses when they buy from an affiliate?

I'm stripping out affiliate links from now on when I purchase. Screw 'em.

I believe the bonuses thing with super affiliates is just to get more sells through the funnel, they could care less about the aftermath, they just want higher conversions and presumably more revenue coming in!

What they don't realize is that if they keep doing that they won't have much of a customer base to market products to

Yeah, working in the field as a drone, I know the unique problems that can come up when cross-promoting, but it goes without saying that if you can't deliver and don't have the resources to take care of your JV partner's customers, don't make the offer. It's irresponsible, and makes the whole industry look bad, because it not only dings the Bonus giver's credibility, it dings the merchant, AND any other folks involved both in promoting AND the other bonus providers.

Definitely bad form, and it's the measure of how these guys will take care of customers too.

I've actually had this happen to me as well. A marketer which shall remain nameless promised a killer package with PLR for buying a product.

Needless to say, I did not want the the product, but I wanted the bonus.

So I bought the product. Well, the bonus never came. after a couple of e-mails to that person I decided that it was a losing battle and just never bought from them again.

The ironic thing is this happened when I was relatively unknown. Now, I have received JV requests asking to promote their products.

What do you think my answer was?

It is karma. It will come around to bite you somehow someway.

      Regards,

Nice! I hope I'm in that position someday.

So, it seems this is more common than many are willing to admit.

That's good, screw all the affiliates who DO honor their bonus promises as well as those who didn't offer any.

I mean why should they get their commissions just because someone else didn't keep a promise?

Heck, why not just get the product from a warez site and screw the merchant, too?

Um, where did I say screw all affiliates? Maybe you're still speaking Russian and don't understand. I'm stripping on recos from affiliates that have stiffed me on bonuses. And yes, I sent numerous emails, logged with support desks, etc. before I resorted to this.

Yeah because that's real smart ain't it..

Those of us who honour our bonus offers get slapped in the face because of one or two dodgy affiliate's..

    VERY nice...

Have you taken this up with the affiliate's?...

And also, have you thought about the repercussions that this type of thing has on people?...

People may read your message here and think that stripping out affiliate links is a good practice.. and start doing it on affiliate links for everyone..

    Nice
