How To Edit WSO Text & HTML??

This may sound like a naive question to ask, but I noticed that when I was ready to post a WSO, the text editor was...just text.

I know that most WSOs use HTML formatting, images, etc., so why does it not let you edit all that, and instead provide just a text editor? Are you only allowed to make it look fancy after it is approved?

I tried researching, but found no answers to my question.

Just click the "Go Advanced" button and you will see new tools for formatting your post.

There is no "Go Advanced" button. It only says HTML is off at the bottom. I have not submitted the thread for review, as I wanted it to look the way I wanted it to beforehand. Where is the Go Advanced button supposed to be?

No, it's just a basic text box. Nothing else. No option to make it fancier. How did you get that to show? Where is the button to click? Are there any other settings I need to change beforehand? I already logged out and back in, just in case.

Try creating your sales letter in Wordpress as a post. Insert your photos and edit it to you liking then grab the html and plug it into the WSO editor.

Ive done this before and it worked beautifully!

    Hope this helps ya buddy.

LOL and yet below your avatar is says that this is your first post.

JD, I'm not sure why you are not seeing the styling tools, but cpa is right, you should be able to format your text in Word and then copy and paste it into the box. Once your WSO thread is approved, you should be able to see the "Go Advanced" button when you hit the edit button on your thread. HTML is not allowed.

I'm not so sure html will work like you described, refer to this earlier post here - http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ior-forum.html

When I insert HTML, it just comes up as HTML code when I preview. There are no editing options, just a text field. I don't know how to get to the advanced version. For example, in this Quick Reply that I am doing, I can click Go Advanced, but it only lets me put a few icons in there. When I try to post a WSO, there is no Go Advanced button at all, at least not for me.

I just found this: Warrior Forum Helpdesk

    Seems to be the answer.

If you go into 'User CP' (the link on the left in the red navbar above) and then into 'Edit Options', towards the bottom of that page is a section called 'Miscellaneous Options', and you can change the Message Editor Settings there. See if that helps any.

Yep, all I needed to do was "activate the Full WYSIWYG editor in your UserCP -> Edit Options -> Miscellaneous Options -> Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing." Thanks.

I think what you meant to say was that you should copy and paste the visual (NOT html) version of your Wordpress post into the forum thread editor.

I forgot to mention that you can easily convert your HTML to the forum's BBCode using this...

    HTML To BB Code Converter

I use it all the time for speed. It just needs a bit of tidying up after.
