About Google Keyword Tool

Hello warriors.
I have some questions on Google keyword tool. I hope you understand what im trying to point out. Does google keyword tool show the exact number of searches for a specific keyword? I don't compromise the accuracy of the data. I mean, does it include other keywords as well? For example, if use the keyword "ipod", you get 45.5 million searches. In this 45.5million searches, does it includes keywords such as "ipod touch", "ipod nano" etc2. Or is it 45.5million for the search "ipod" itself?
Hope my question is clear. Thanks.

I think if you check the 'Exact Match' checkbox on the left side, you are literally getting only the stats for that exact keyword, i.e. 'ipod' would not include 'ipod touch'. In fact you will probably see 'ipod touch' somewhere below in the list. Hope this helps

    For the phrase IPOD TOUCH:

EXACT would match only IPOD TOUCH
PHRASE would match MY IPOD TOUCH HAS FINGERPRINTS
BROAD would match AN ANGEL TOUCHED MY IPOD

You have to select these from the left side of the panel. Search I believe defaults to broad (which includes everything). It is important to know this if you are doing any competition research.
