$1.18 .com GoDaddy Coupon Code

$1.18 includes the ICANN fee.

One domain for one year. One per account.

Not sure if it's .com's only.

Must use credit card, no paypal option.

Use the GoDaddy coupon code GOBBLE

As of Sunday evening November 21, the code is still working.

Sorry, I wouldn't get a domain from them not even for Free...Yes, free.
They're the worst in MHO. Nothing positive.
What do they have you can't get some where else ?

Couldn't agree more; they're a repulsive company, but I can't pass up a dollar domain.

I tend to agree. I have had virtual and dedicated servers with them for years and the only time I had trouble was when it was on my part.
DNS management is a breeze and migration is almost instant.
It came down to that I had to know Linux and Apache. I had to know MYSQL. I had to know DNS and MX management. Or find someone that did.
Godaddy may not offer a lot of technical information for you, but their prices are fair, their equipment is good, and they leave you alone with your work.

Now if you're using the $3.99 hosting and running 50 sites from it, then yeah, don't expect much in support from them.

I can definitely concur. Even when I screwed up several years ago and added things to my cart that I definitely didn't want, all it took was a quick call to Godaddy for them to graciously remove those offending items and refund me on the spot!

Always watch out for this 'sleezy' company. Offering this service creates an 'impule' buy amongst people. Heck, I saw the thread title and went to GoDaddy, and then I was reminded of their terrible business practices.

GoDaddy will slip in some 'hidden' fees on these promotions. That is primarily why they won't accept PayPal for these due to Disputes or Claims that can be easily won by the buyer.

I have not personally checked out the terms for this promotion, but I remember last time they offered for $1, it had some recurring monthly charge of some idiotic cause.

You CAN be smart about it. You can read the Terms carefully and thoroughly, and find those hidden fees and cancel them before they are ever activated... but by the time you have done that, you might as well of purchased from somewhere else.

      Buyer beware!

        1. Nothing sleezy about this company or do you call all companies that do marketing "sleezy
        2. No hidden fees here and never been. As part of the promo you can get a 1 month free service but can optout before you pay
        3. The reason the don't take paypal is there choice and for all there domains i purchased it did not even cross my mind to do a refund
        4. You claim they sleezy but you say "I have not personally checked out the terms for this promotion"
        5. Generally we all should be "smart" and read the TOS
I have close to 200 domains with godaddy and have not had any issues with them and make use of this $1 special all the time. Seems your claims are unwarranted here

Where do you get your domains from? Namescheap? I use Godaddy and find them good - but still wanted to know from someone who is not satisfied with them just so that I know my other alternative from this angle.

When you get a great tip like this sometimes it's nice just to say "Thank You."

I saw I bought, never any problems with godaddy that others haven't had with any and all other registrars. As far as the add ons. You can delete them easily enough while observing open yet persuasive marketing.

I've had problems with PayPal, Godaddy, eBay the local grocery store and the darn Weather. What can you do?

    Thank you John,

When I was a little boy, oh, around 4 or 5 years old we used to go to the drive-in restaurant. For those of you under 50 I'm talking drive-in not drive-thru.

My mom would park in the lot and a waitress would come out to the car, sometimes walking and sometimes on roller skates and hang a tray on the side of the car, hooking it somehow into the window.

The tray is where she would set the burgers and fries that we would order.

However, on the tray when she brought it and even before we ordered was a little basket full of goodies. Peanut Butter crackers, peanuts, mini candy bars etc. I'd grab them and stick them in my pocket for later.

One day as I started to grab the goodies my mom said, "George, not this time." I asked "Why Mom?" She said, "Because I can't afford them this time."

It hit me for the first time, these little goodies were not free. If I took them my mom had to pay for them.

After growing up I stayed in a nice hotel in New York, There was a little fridge in the room with Coke, 7UP and assorted juices. WOW, GOODIES. When I got my hotel bill there was the itemised list, $4 Coke and $5 juice. Brought back old memories of the drive in restaurant.

Today when I shop at Godaddy... Oh the memories.

There are only hidden fees if you select them or for that matter, do not "unselect" them.

I've had over 50 domains with them for at least 8 years and I've literally only ever had 1 problem. I forgot to cancel a domain I didn't want and it renewed. I noticed the charge 3 weeks later, and despite the fact that it would cost GoDaddy money to refund it, they did.

GoDaddy and Namecheap, definitely the best 2 registrars in my opinion....

I don't think there are too many hidden fees, I mean you have to be on your toes when ordering, but that's how they keep their stuff so cheap.

The main problem they have is that their website is sooo badly laid out!! I just hate navigating their site..

I use both GoDaddy and NameCheap for domains. I've been using them both for years, and have never had a problem with either one.

I would certainly never use GoDaddy for web hosting, and I don't buy any of their upsells. But man their domains propagate fast.

This thread is annoying. If you have problems with GoDaddy, there's a 90% chance it's user error. They're fine - been using them for years without a problem. Thanks for the code.

So slipping Website tonight in the cart is a user error? Noo

I cancelled it after and don't think i was charged, as the product needs to be activated i think before the monthly billing cycle begins.

I think the $1 promo is for .info domains but if it is for .com then it's a good deal. I'll check it later, thanks. I've been using GoDaddy for years without any issue so I haven't had to ask them for support much. As to the lingering question about the service, most people just don't bother to read the fine prints.

I have to agree - I only use Godaddy to buy domain names and never had a problem with them

That said their layout and navigation is awful but thats a small price to pay just to buy domains from them

I've only bought one domain with them before, but this special coupon might tempt me to purchase another one.

The only problem I had with them was the fact that their servers were so slow... atleast for me.

Just tried it, got the same problem as blogginvixen and couldn't register, but I'm not too much disappointed about it.

I prefer Namecheap and InternetBS (less known by Internet Marketers, but still very good with excellent support).

I am no longer a fan of Godaddy as I used to be in the past, because their registrations come with a lot of limitations.
But it's good to take advantage of promotions like these and later transfer your domain to registrars like Namecheap.

I like Namecheap because they offer Free Whois Privacy and other advantages like Free EMail Redirection.

Namecheap Discount Coupons for November are:
      FAMILYWARMTH $9.28 for .com/net or $8.81 for .org/biz/us registrations
GOLDENFALL 10% Off on shared/reseller/business hosting packages
      NCVPS 10% off VPS packages

InternetBS also comes with multi-language support, Free Whois Privacy and Free Unlimited EMail Redirection, with servers in US, UK and Canada.

Holy crap, perfect timing! I Was just thinking if I should shell out 10 bucks for a domain and I saw this!

Also, godaddy is my favorite. No hidden fees for me. I'm new as well. It's really user friendly domain wise. I don't get why people aren't diggin this... Thank you a thousand times John for posting this!

If this next domain brings in some money, I'd be tempted just to give you some as a thank you gift!
