Moving to Cloud Server from VPS

I am with hostagtor and have a VPS. I am looking at offering a php hosted script and am afraid I may burn through my bandwidth at some time. Hostgator does not have a cloud server option. I am wondering if anyone has experience moving from hostgator to another with cloud technology? I would love to have cloud, so I don't have to worry, but if it is going to be a hassle, I may just stay and buy next level of VPS bandwidth.

    I wish I could help with this myself, but instead I am interested in the same thing as I am in the same scenario.

    I went to amazon's site and it is not really that 'friendly', not to navigate, not to understand....

    I hope someone has some experience with this to help out.

    Moving from VPS to Cloud is a good idea. Cloud is one of the latest thriving technology, which has improved the reliability and performance of the servers. Even there are two types in cloud hosting, shared cloud and dedicated cloud. According to your requirements for resources you can select any of them for the higher performance.

    I use the RackSpace cloud (formerly Mosso) and it is very easy to move from a cPanel/WHM host to the cloud host.

    Anyone familiar with Amazon clouds? Is Rackspace or any other cloud hosting platform compatible?

    You can always go with VPS on the cloud, thats another option

      I asked the Hostgator online support if they had cloud and was told no. Not sure what your reply means. Someone has to have done this before right?
