How to earn $400 per month?

Hi
Been reading this thread for a few days and decided to sign up. As you can guess from my name, I am a wannabe techie. I am planning to (yes still planning) open a website and have a few ideas. Got all the tech parts figured out. Now just need to implement the content part properly.

My plan:
1. sign up with bluehost for hosting and install a free wordpress theme.
2. start a blog and get guest bloggers
3. do SEO marketing
4. Most important of all - get ads

My aim is to earn just $400 per month, at least initially. I am being realistic here. With Adsense and similar plans, how realistic is this aim?

How will you attract the guest bloggers? What's in it for them?

What will be unique about your site that I won't find on other sites?

^^^^ Exactly what i wanted to ask.

Does your blog have a ton of traffic?

Does your blog have a high PR?

Simply, why do i need to spend "my" time to provide content for "your" blog?

With Adsense you can earn $5 per day per site if you do your keyword research well and target good niches. Product niche site's work the best ive heard as the CPC for Adsense is quite high so 3 successful site's could earn you $400 a month.

Thanks for the quick replies. My plan focuses more on user-driven content. I know that is the hardest part of any website. So while I build up that part, Adsense and affilate marketing is going to be the main source of revenue.

Again, thanks cooler1 for giving out the realistic amount of revenue that I can except from each site.
