What is a good beginner course for the basics?

Hey guys. I have bought a lot of e-books/guides but I never really can grasp what they are saying sometimes about websites. I guess I'm looking for a course that will teach me the basics of SEO, I have heard of something called profit lance

Have you tried "The Challenge"? It's free and it goes over the basics step by step in lots of videos and text. And they have it laid out where you can go at your own pace.

I recommend reading the SBI action guide. This is free and it will give you the gist of what to do. It covers niche selection, keyword research, SEO and choosing affiliate programmes.

        SBI! Action Guide

They use examples based on their own all-in-one software which is $300/year but you can do it for free (almost) and do a better job too by using:
        • Google Keyword Tool for keyword research FREE
        • Various Google tools like trends, suggest and wonder wheel for lateral searching FREE
        • Wordpress.org for site design and setup FREE
        • Hosting co. of your choice $25-$100 a year

I think the best would be if you use common sense and read couple of forums and blogs on the subject first. Here on WF you can find lots, I mean lots of info that will get you started.

I prefer to be smart over using common sense, I'd rather go through a course where the information is organized and presented in a way I can understand where each thing builds on the last instead of scrambling through forums.

I will also try the challenge after the thanksgiving holiday. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I started the basics with wealthyaffiliate - they were good for the basics.

Would like to hear others opinions.

It's a great way to learn for anyone starting out. There is a ton of useful information in the course.
