Why Are You Honestly In The Industry

Hey folks,

why are you honestly in the industry?

Heard so many people saying, that they
are into network marketing because of
the money they can make, the flow,
material things, health, freedom,...

What´s your personal definition, and why
are you involved in it?

Personally, I´m into it because of the freedom
that the industry offers me, and because of the
person that I can become.

Keep going,

Gerald

The freedom, and the ability to constantly experiment / monitor the results (I'm big into psychology and mixing it with this technology opens the doors for something that's never been done before). That's really it; inventing new stuff.

For me it just kind of happened,

I have always been an entrepreneur, I have been involved with SMC, buying and selling various things.

During all of these little ventures I have been managing a resturaunt. At the resturant I have always done very well and have been the managment trainer for the last few years.

My last venture I bought 4 hotdog stands and was going make a full time go at it.

But......it wasn't as easy as it seemed. I didn't have many customers......

So I started looking into internet marketing, reading all of Dan Kennedy's stuff on direct response marketing.

And it just clicked, every business needs customers. So if I master how to get them then I will have a business that will also always have customers.

But beyond the financial rewards I will be able to know that what I am doing is truely helping business owners and helping to maintain jobs for others.

Not to mention from my training history I can break almost anything into systems so anyone can do it. (Seemed like a natural fit for creating info products...)

Just a few reasons I'm earning online:

    1) Because I can!

    2) Because I'm not cut out for living my day-to-day life scheduled around routines demanded or asked of me by others'.

    3) Because I didn't really want a regular "career" anyway.

    4) Whenenever I work with people as part of a team (or in close-quarters) I get frustrated with them, their (sometimes) inefficiencies, and working methods/practices that conflict with my own. I like to be in full control (or as much as possible), and find it more fulfilling that way.

    5) It is (or can be, sometimes, if/when set up correctly) a reasonably passive way of earning.

    6) "Like, I can sit in my pyjamas and dressing-gown, hair messed up, eating/drinking, smoking cigars and playing music whilst I work. Awesomes!" (seriously)

I am in the industry because it is one of very few where if I come up with an idea, I can start to implement it straight away. There are no rules, nothing to stop me from doing things the way I want.

Being able to make things up on the fly, test if they work, and get results is amazing - it's like what science was 70 years ago

I am in this industry for two reasons.

First, I love to learn. You'll never stop learning in this industry and I can truly be a life student. I always thought it would be neat to stay in college and just learn--take classes with no intention of getting into that line of work. This industry allows me to be that student.

Second, I love to help others. This might be self-serving, and it is, but it is still a win-win. The feeling I get when I help another achieve a goal is special. The money I earn from helping others is the icing on the cake.

To make money. Simply put. I started this journey to make a little side income, which then turned into getting me a new car. I still have a nine to five, one that I love. I have pressure at work, but its that good kind of pressure.

I still set up sites. Maybe one day I'll be able to "quit" my job, but the time that I spend now will just be spent on my IM business if I ever quit.

I don't particularly love internet marketing, its somewhat boring. Lots of numbers and very little creativity IMO. Filmmaking is the big dream I have. Hope to quit my nine to five doing that than anything else really.

For myself, i cant stand working for someone else. Have no idea why really, concept didnt bug me too much in the military. But ever since then i found normal jobs to be a waste of time honestly.

So instead of continueing down that path i jumped into business for myself. No real plan or anything, and from there ive done pretty well for myself.

So, in the end i got into it to work for myself at my own pace and for my own reasons.

Because I value comfort..alot, and since I'm a complete control freak, I could never keep it together in a work environment where things aren't revolving around myself and my abilities only. I love listening to music when I'm at the PC and sitting in my bed while I'm at it. Seriously now, I don't really sit at my desk. Now how could I do all that at a regular job? Nah, I like to get creative and make whatever decision I feel like making without the anxiety born from all the rules and regulations that an ordinary job demands.

I have always been self employed. I could never stand the thought of a full time job - with only 2 or 3 weeks off a year!
The main thing that appeals to me about IM is that I can do it almost anywhere. I hope to spend a lot of time traveling within the next few years.

By far it is the freedom that it allows. I am able to work when I want to work and put in long hours some days or shorter hours others depending on what I have going on. The second reason is that it allows me to be in control. I run my business the way I see fit and I don't need to have other people pulling me in different directions. The ability to follow through on my own business plans is very rewarding.

A day on my ass never feels like a day of work. I am lazy and feel like I am cheating the real work as long as I can make things work online.

Is it just a dream to make money with out spending 20 hours a day in front of a computer.

    Several Reasons.

    1. My main job is being a professional gambler, there are weeks when I've made a fortune and some weeks when there has only been 2 races even worth looking at. IM gives me a more consistent income during the slow weeks so i'm not just hacking away at my savings.

    2. I hate doing nothing, I've got custom software that either automates or semi-automates everything for my horse racing work - on a busy day i'm still not going to be doing more than 2 hours. So why not make money in my spare time.

    3. I despise working for other people almost as much as I hate getting up before 10am. I had 1 or 2 9-5 jobs when I was younger and I'm just not designed for it.

Mostly because I can't get a job where I live due to crippled economy and because I've spent a lot of time on the internet and around computers since a young age. In a way, I feel like a fish in the water.

Same here. I cant get a job, was left by my husband who doesn't want to work. I was a stay at home mom with no income. I got left with the kid and all the bills. It's at least letting me do something other than feeling hopeless.

As most people mentioned, the freedom is a big number one. With IM it is quite easy to live a location independent lifestyle, and focus a majority of your time on the important things... friends, family, life, and travel (will differ for everyone of course!).

I also love the constant learning, and the opportunity to help others jump on board as well.

It's win-win no matter how I look at it!

    Cheers,
    Carney

      ha ha...nice one.

But seriously, for the love, its my passion. Someone once said, get a job doing somethingn you love and have a passion for, and you will never have to work another day in your entire life.

I love the fact that I can go on holidays and come back, and there is more money in my account then when I left home.

Now that is cool! if you ask me. Something special about that ey.

With no college education there is more money in this than any 9-5 I could get. Top that off with the freedom and it is a tough gig to beat in my eyes.
