probably not - though you could sign up to a virtual credit card service with that credit card and do it that way (which would increase the cost of the domains to $1.23 or something)

I tried to use it a couple of hours ago and it didn't work. I checked the previous thread on the subject and saw other people claiming it failed as well. Therefore, I just used FAN3 for 30% off, and called it a day.

Hi

We tried it too and it failed.

A possibility is that we picked up a $1 special a couple of weeks back - maybe Godaddy think we got enough of a discount then. :confused:

Anyway, found a 5 letter .com domain name that suits exactly what we had been looking for and used the coupon - cjc749fat which expires at the end of November and got the domain for $7.49 - so happy with that.

Here is the update. After several unsuccessful attempts I raised a ticket and asked GoDaddy Support team why this offer is not coming as whenever I log into my area at top special offer of domain at $1 message displays.

They've asked me for screen shot of that message. I've provided this one:

They've replied that 10,000 domains have already been registered through this offer so this offer has expired.

I wonder whether really 10,000 domains registered through this promo code in a few days.

I'd think so, Chris. In the past, their $1 specials have also sold out long before the deadline. You want to jump in on it within 2-3 days of the initial announcement to maximize your chances of picking it up.

Another good place that I've found to get domains is netfirms.com and if you use the coupon code DollarDomain it reduces the price down to $4 I've used this code a number of times over the last few months and it worked.

One thing I ran into was, it doesn't seem to let you use the same credit card more then once with the discount, but if you store a payment method with them it will allow you to use that payment method more then once and still get the discount.
