Cranked out 3 reports in 2 days!!!

I am curious how many of my fellow warriors are product creators?

I see alot of people spinning their wheels with adsense and affiliate marketing.
Why is holding you back from really making something?

I will tell you what held me back for over 1 year.
I cared what others thought about me and my products.
What I mean is when someone would tell me the fall backs or give lots of negative feed back about a particular thing I took it to heart.

Then after talking with some awesome marketer who actually hooked me up with one of his courses, it then clicked.

I was stopping myself!

It wasn't my lack of knowledge because for a long time I would participate in webinars or buy a few products here and there and I often already knew what I paid for.

So I guess what I am getting at is please don't be your own worst enemy when it comes to making money online!

It is better to screw up fast then take forever to get started, in the last month or so I had several discussions with a certain warrior who is and adsense monster.

He advised me that short reports were really the way to go so they have been my focus. I am almost finished with 5 10-15 page reports. I am able to now get this stuff done because I said to myself. What does it matter what other people think?

Take it and improve what you are already selling, because they can only judge you after they have bought it.

If they bought it then you already succeeded IMO.

Well I told you my biggest set back, now whats your and how are you going to fix it?

Let's make some money!

Nope, I'm not product creator. I'm still busy trying to promote someone else's product.
Which is not a bad thing since this product/service is absolutely fantastic and I believe a huge help in getting others started in an online business.

    So what has stopped me?

The same thing that stopped you. Me.

Like everyone else I have bought stuff (products/ebooks/courses/reports etc) and have joined a few lists to get more of the same for free.

I've gotten fantastic products online, but I've also gotten the crap ones as well. (Both bought and free)

When I do start creating my own products I don't want to come under the "crappy" heading.

If someone buys your product then judges you badly, they won't be back to buy anything else from you.

So am in the process of learning how to create a great, value for money product.

Until I can do that, I am content with selling someone else's fantastic, value for money, over-delivered product.

ps. Sorry if the above sounds like sales pitch - It's honestly not meant
    to.

I get that but I have come to the same conclusion that many and most successful marketers have.

I'll break it down like this:

      If I sell 1000 units and get 3-5% complaints/refunds

That means that there were 900+ customers that seen and appreciated the value I had to offer.

I used to think I had to please everyone.

If I knew then what I know now I could already be further ahead of where I am now.

I guess the thing I was getting at was your product doesn't have to be perfect when you first release it. It should be very good and a true value for the price. However take what ever feed back you get and improve the product and give the updates to the previous customers......

900+ Happy customers is better than not doing anything.

Before I did nothing so let's keep it going.

What are the biggest set backs and what can we do to overcome them?

Nice job. I am pleased that you have caught the fire.

Now the hard part is promoting those reports so that you can get the conversion you need to make it worth your while.

I have been there -- doing that as I type.

Hey there, I am a product creator - I changed this to my primary online method of dealing with people after reaching my goals in other forms of internet marketing.

Originally I wasn't sure that I wanted to do product creating at all, but then more and more I kept getting requests to put my ideas down in ebook fashion, etc.

So I started working on guides/methods/bibles and putting my name on them, to the point that now a lot of people know my name and I have a list of people who practically buy anything I send their way.

It's a good feeling, knowing that you are able to help others grow and succeed in this business.

It's funny how you are usually the one that is holding yourself back. You really have to get down and do it, there is no other way and you will thank yourself once you've done it, because as you've said, you are usually an expert (or at least fairly knowledgeable) on the subject.

    Cheers,
    Kevin

I do a bit of everything, and I also write and publish books (yes real books - lol). And these still need to be promoted, so all of the usual Internet marketing guidelines come into play (even for hard copy/tangible items).
