Do You Work Best Under Pressure Or...?

I hate being under pressure when it comes to meeting a deadline. But I have heard from folks that complete tasks easily or faster when they are under pressure such as, hey, this job must be completed in the next 24 hours or all hell will be let loose!

I work better or best when I'm not under any form of pressure. I prefer taking my time to do a job in a relaxed way.

What about you?

I prefer pressure. When left to my own devices, I'm easily distracted and wind up wasting time.

    Yeah,

I put a "sometimes" down. Often I just get on with things but there are other things I just avoid like mad and can't motivate myself one bit to do them. However, when the chips are down and it has to be done by...such and such a time, I just get on and do it.

I always sit there wondering why I couldn't get myself to do it before, when in reality when I had to do it, it wasn't a problem.

I certainly can sometimes get stuff done more swiftly when under pressure, but the quality of my output (by my own judgement, anyway) will almost invariably be much, much worse.
