Are you doing this on your squeeze page??

I've been looking at a lot of squeeze pages lately, and I've noticed not many people put a testimonial (for the product or their list) on the page.

Why not?

I've been guilty of it as well, but I've found squeeze pages with testimonials on them convert much better.... Which makes sense since sales letters with testimonials also do better.

But the reason I think they do better, is because it looks like you've already got a community. It shows that people are on your list and like your stuff.

I know when I'm about to join a list I wonder if it's going to be good or if it's just going to be pitch after pitch... What about you?

It certianly makes sense to have testimonials, but if you don't have any you just have to do without them because you are better to remain honest , meaning don't use phony testimonials . You might be able to get some of your friend who reviewed your product to give testimonials though. That works!

If you don't have a way of getting testimonials, I really gotta question your traffic strategy too.

I'd personally be getting people to mail for my squeeze page, so the people I ask to mail, I could also ask to review the product.

Testimonials really help to sell a product. They call it "social proof" and it can make all the difference. Home-made natural looking videos look so much more believable and honest than expensive commercial looking video presentations.
