Best Way To Get Automated Content for New Blog?

What is the best way to get automated content for a new blog that Google would like and not treat the blog as another Clone blog?

Yahoo Answers?
Youtube Videos?
Articles from Rss Feed?

Do these methods work?

All feedback and advice welcome.

    Terry,

All of those content sources are good but a word of caution....

Whichever source you use from whatever piece of software or service just be sure to check the content before posting it. I realize that may sound a bit against the principle of "auto" blogging but many of the systems out there are notorious for occasionally posting unrealted content. It doesn't always happen but avoiding the possibility by checking the content first will help ensure you build quality blogs that offers good related content to the viewer and lessen your chances of it disappearing. Also, I would advise you occasionally add in some "unique" content as well. Not only will this keep your blogs fresh but it looks good to the big G as well and by adding unique articles here and there you can directly control the focus of that post and "guide" the reader where you want them to go...

Hope that's helpful...good luck with auto blogging!

You can have all the above plus 3 article directories and Flickr content posted to your blog by using a cool, little plugin called Multipress Lite. It's free to use and it works great with long tail keywords.

Little piece of advice: mix as many sources as possible but also post some unique articles once in a while. That's what I do with all my autoblogs and it works really well (one unique article per week, 7 to 10 autoposted articles, 1 or 2 affiliate offers).

As Drew mentioned, you'd want to unzip it and upload it to your plugins folder via ftp. That's what I'm doing and never had an issue with it.

Sorry Drew can't send you a PM, the forum says I don't have rights to PM yet.

I've been using FreeTrafficSystem for a few months now. You build backlinks fast (up to 90 per article) and you can submit your Blog(s) so others will be posting only related articles on your blog through FreeTrafficSystem. I've got almost 700 posts in 4 months now and with all the pingbacks my Alexa rank went up with 12million+ points in one week.

I'm impressed by it to be honest.

I've had a few people PM me, and others that noted they were unable to PM so I am just going to post publicly so everyone can benefit.

The issue in terms of MP Lite not activating, or the header being deemed not valid is due to the fact that you are trying to install the plugin via the WP dashboard directly.

Unfortunately it does not always work that way depending on how your blog is set up and what other plugins you may be using.

The solution is quite easy though.

You just need to unzip the MP lite files locally, and then upload the plugin to /wp-content/plugins/ using the FTP software you are most comfortable with.

Also, be sure to set upload mode to Binary.

I tried one of those automated sites, I think by Brad Callen and the content that was automatically posted to my blog was pretty much worthless. Many of them contained broken english, misspelled words, and poor grammar. I ended up having to read and delete many of the articles to the point of canceling my account. The quality just wasn't there.

This is pretty typical of most (not all but most) of the automation systems available. Before people jump knee deep down my throat...remember, I said most not all.

In the end, no matter what system you're using you need to able to have some form of editorial review before posting the content to your blog. If the system you're using doesn't offer you that then you might want to look for another system. Yes those systems are fast and that's great but if the end result is your blog turns out like mentioned in the quote above then is it worth it at all? I don't think so.

I realize this somewhat defeats the purpose of "auto" blogging, however, in the end you will have a much better blog overall that is still much faster to fill with content if you only spend a few minutes reviewing the content (to check its quality, relevancy...etc) prior to posting.

      Just a bit of advice...

      Good luck!

You're talking about SEO Link Vine? I have to tell you that they actually posted an article on my blog: "Do flavored condoms lead to food poisoning?"

My blog is about babies and newborns.

Ive never used the receive content option, but I do publish articles on there and most seem to have the requirement that they approve the content. As a publisher It can be frustrating seeing the number of articles awaiting approval grow.

As a content publisher you should definitely turn this feature on. A quick 5-10 seconds each day to have a quick read of title and first paragraph should be enough to determine if you want that article on your blog.

Thanks for your input guys. How often should i post content to the site inrespect to unique articles?

Auto content is great in that your blog runs on auto pilot and the automatic posts are good for SEO.What you have to realize is that you have no control over the quality of content that is posted automatically on your blog but you are inadvertently associated with it and it defines your opinion and writing skills. That is all very well if it is good but if it is not, it can damage your reputation. Most software will translate the content to another language first and then translate it back to English but sometimes this rearranges the words in such a way that it becomes broken English. This has happened to me.

There are some products/programs that allow you editorial review over the content before you post it. This will keep you from posting junk or unrealted content.

As far as how often you should post unique content is concerned that's really a personal choice as I don't know there is a steadfast rule for this. Having said that, I post a unique article to my blogs about once a week on average, sometimes more sometimes less but for the most part about once a week. Sometiems I will post a few unique articles to start new blogs with and then after that I will ramp up the auto content and mix in the occasional unique article to keep it fresh.

    Hope that helps,
    Robert

    Hi!

Are just starting to use Multipress.
    A question...
When you have received articles, are you supposed to spin in any way, or are you just supposed to leave it as it is (after checking the quality of the article)?
