Amazon showing related products automatically is it possible?

They have this widget "Omakase" which is supposed to show related products based on your content, user preferences or past sales.

Well it doesn't work at all for me, it always shows a kindle or a book, and none of my sites are even remotely related to that.
Their support is useless.

So, you guys are my hope.
What would be your tips for working Amazon?

I really liked the idea of that widget because you just add it to all your WP blogs and leave the rest to them.

I've got content about way too many different products to go and add a link to the corresponding product manually, not to mention that i would prefer a more scalable and automated solution.

Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated!

Amazon product in post , Widget Short codes and Amazonpress are the three plugins that you can use to get the desired output. Not exactly the way you want but atleast close to it.

Are those 3rd party wordpress plug-ins? Would you share more, how do they work?
    Thank you!

These three plugins are free and are used to embed amazon products inside your posts. Amazon press creates list of products based on keywords and pushes under your post.

Amazon product in post lets you put a amazon ad inside the post or below the post after entering the ISBN/ASIN.

Widget short code plugin lets you all types of amazon ads inside blog posts and they work because widget code calls for HTML action in your post so it renders without any trouble.

You can definitely make your post scheduled using these plugins for product promotion. I hope this is close to what you're trying to get but no past sales or no user preference though. I have seen guy named muratos who is handling a site which fetches content from amazon at run time using AJAX at his instantzon site. Maybe you should ask him if you want something like that.

You are right and I am wrong. Omakase belongs in the garbage can. I have used it on only one web page. It gives me no sales as in zero. Also, most of what it pushes has nothing to do with my web pages. Then again in October sadsense was putting politician ads on my pages. Yeah, and my site was selling electronics, but that is some thing that we can understand, even if it got very few clicks, things are back to normal now.

With Omakase not so. It still shows ads that have nothing to do with my page. This is a major issue amazon.

I have both adsense and Amazon on my blogs and I make about twice as much from Amazon. Could be because of where the ads are positioned though
