Attention All YouTube/Video Experts. Questions Regarding Screen Capture Video
I am having a problem with file size. The biggest test video I've made of my voice and screen capture was three minutes long and a whopping 80 MB.
Now, I know Youtube has a limit of 100 MB, right? And, the video I want to make will probably take about 15 minutes.
I have installed the codecs that I've read about online. Divx and the Camstudio Lossless. However, as I want to show a large area of my screen, approx 1200 by 600, the programs won't even record at that screen size unless I allow them to use the Microsoft Video 1 codec, which is how I get the 80 MB videos.
My question is this: Is there any way to create an AVI video with these tools at the dimensions I want to use, and then somehow compress it after it's done?
Or, have I gone into too much detail. I simply want to make a 15 minute video that I can put up on Youtube, and my website, for free.
A little help?
