Wordpress Bloggers - How Many Visitors Does Your Blog Get Per Day [At Average]?

70 visits per day is anything but "pathetic" - it's over 2,000 visitors per month. Not a bad start at all! (Not related to it being a Wordpress site, though, of course).

The issue, perhaps, with Twitter traffic, is how well-targeted the visitors are, i.e. exactly what's brought them there and how well the blog matches what they were looking for or hoping/expecting to find? Can you see how long the average visitor stays, and this sort of thing?

The amount of traffic I have to my blogs depends on the niche and where I'm ranking, honestly. And even then I can get more money with a blog that has less visitors then one with more traffic, all depending on the kinds of products that are being promoted (high ticket items). But 70 visitors a day isn't bad at all. A lot of people would love to see that, especially if they are targeted to your niche.

While a lot of us like to sit back and talk about ranking high in search engines and getting a lot of traffic... traffic isn't end-all be-all.

What is more important is the quality of traffic and your ability to convert that traffic.

I have a couple of adult sites that pull in well over 100k visitors a month but don't make a lot of money. Why? It's a bad niche and they quality of traffic is low. It's 100k people looking for a cheap thrill, not purchasing a product. Sure, I can point to the site and say I'm an SEO God but all of that traffic and impressive ranking mean very little where it matters most, my bank account.

Don't get too wrapped up in the number of visitors but worry more about your conversion ratios, be it getting visitors to sign up to a list, clicking an adsense ad or buying a product.

You want people to follow through with whatever your means of monetization is.

If you get 70 visitors a day and 2 of them follow through and buy a product that gives you a $30 commission... that site is making $21,900 a year. Might not sound like much but for a single blog, it's not too shabby.

Focus on conversions and ratios, not traffic numbers. I'm not saying ignore traffic completely but if your site isn't converting it doesn't matter how much traffic you get.

This is why copywriting, content and your sales pitch are so important. Somebody has stepped into your store, now you need to convince them to whip out their wallet.

Be it writing the best squeeze page ever or showing great pics of naughty young things, you need to convince every visitor that what you have to offer is worth their time and money.

Make the most of your 70 visitors and develop a site that converts.

You should actually be quite proud of yourself. 70 visitors per day is quite good for a new blog as you are already hearing from everyone.

Even Ed Dale's "The Challenge" is aiming at getting you to 100 visitors per day through the course of a 14 week Challenge. 100 visitors per day allows you to do reasonable testing, get results, and start making sales.

I have blogs which are well under that amount but make the occasional sale so I do the occasional post. I have blogs which do around 400 unique visitors per day and get more attention from me.

The real key is making sure you keep your focus narrow to your mission, convert those visitors to sales, and then you can start the next blog. Think if you had 10 to 20 of those blogs at 70 visitors per day targeted to niche products. You would probably discover a few blogs jump well above the 70 per day and you might be getting 2000+ unique visitors per day across the group.

Now convert those 2000 visitors at a rate of .5% which would be 10 conversions per day. If you average $25/conversion you would be making $250/day or just over $90,000/year.

Now, does your 70 sound bad any more?

I think it entirely depends on your niche, if your niche has very limited traffic then 70 visitors per day is a very good sign. Even its a high traffic niche but as your blog is new so its a good sign. I have some blogs having below 100 visitors per day but I have one blog which is having 5000 visitors per day because its a high traffic niche.

Just keep updating your blog and try to retain the visitors and you will get high conversion.

I have my personal blog and it is having around 100-200 visits/day. Just like you, I am also just get into this blogging thing recently. My traffic flows come from search engine.
Frankly, as already said above, your visitor numbers is anything but "pathetic". You know how many months that I need to work on to get that numbers? more than 6 months! (of course I am an idiot to learn the basic since I like to trial-and-error). As Barry Unruh said, it is the quality and conversion that matter the most.

Here's something to share with you:

My traffic was normally at a 30 to 40 visits per day (at average). I then did up a blog series (one niche topic divided into 5 Parts - so one part as one blog post).

Here, i remind subscribers to subscribe to my RSS feeds to not miss out on any parts of this niche topic. This very simple trick actually spiked the traffic up to 70 visits, since then!

My busiest one is about 15,000 per day.

Traffic is not the main metric you should be focusing on though. How well that traffic converts into cash is a lot more important to the success of your business.

My highest traffic site is not my biggest earner (although it might be when I get round to making some tweaks and introducing a couple of new affiliate programs).

My wordpress blog get some good amount of visits like few hundreds everyday and as usual most come from united states,uk,canada and australia.

No 70 is fine. I get 300 at average.
Question then is:
how do you monetize these visitors...

It honestly depends on the blog and how much I promote it.

Some are only getting 35 visitors a day, some are getting 10x that.

I don't put any of my high traffic websites on blogs though.

It doesnt matter how many people you get but what you can do with them.

One of my current blogs gets 5000+ uniques a day.. and i'm still trying to monetise it.. another site gets 1000 a day and bringing in a couple thousand $ a month just sitting there..

Just keep delivering good value and you'll be set. Keep testing and testing until things start to 'click'.

20 visitors per day right now, but I haven't really done much with it yet. Slow and steady traffic is fine.

I get around 50 visitors a day to a health related blog and even though I regularly add content this number hasn't increased for months.

500 a day to a blog I havent posted on for months. Maybe I shoudl do some more work on it.
