What interest is there in converting business sites to mobile sites

Personally, my focus is currently elsewhere so I have not created any mobi sites myself. However, there is definitely a market. The key is to understand that no matter how useful something may be or how much a business could benefit, nothing "sells itself." You have to effectively show a business owner how much potential business he or she is losing by ignoring mobile searchers.

For instance, show a printout of a Google Keyword search for his primary keyword showing how many people are searching for his products or services each month. Then show an authoritative article illustrating that mobile searches make up roughly 8% of all Google searches. Enter his website's URL into your smartphone and show him how pathetic his site looks. Remind him how slowly his flash animation and graphic rich pages will load on 3G, further whizzing off the people searching for him. Show examples of successful businesses with mobile sites and explain that they didn't simply choose to waste money on a mobile site because they're so wildly successful, but rather that they're so successful because they understand how to properly market their business.

I would think that just following these steps would give you a fighting chance with any halfway intelligent biz owner.

Well the thing is. Being mobile is just going to keep improving

Right now a regular site isnt compressed like a mobile site, also they arent set for mobile viewing ( hence why if you go browsing on a phone you will see some sites offer 2 versions

I wouldnt make all your sites mobile but I would make your most important site mobile
