First time lucky - I won!

INTERNET MARKETING

I've never tried entering and going for affiliate or lead generating contests. But I thought what the heck and entered Willie Crawfords Soul Food websites Spread the Word contest.

I won 6th prize. I love cooking.

I win all the time in offline contests. Especially free lunches, dinners, night out on the town, movie tickets,etc. just by dropping my business card in a fishbowl. But I've also won big ticket items like $5,000 in cash, $2,500 in cash, and a washer and dryer, just for taking a better photo, writing a better story, and creating a better nickname. Not to mention selling my services to some of these folks.

If you don't show up, and act upon that which you want, you have no chance of obtaining it.

  Congratulations, I have won several prizes by entering competitions online through prizefinder. Including one were I had to record myself yodelling (badly)!

  I did some business with a lady a few years back and she built a business around comping after she had won a lot of prizes. She had a monthly magazine, lots of subscribers and a busy website.
  
  For me the lucky person is usually the one who buys the ticket after me so I make my own luck

  I've had the same lottery numbers since the word go and no more than a tenner. I enter competitions and never win a thing....
  
  But, I agree, you have to be in it to win it. So I will blindly remain in it. Besides I know if I stop doing the lottery now those numbers will come up.

Congrats. I once won $5,000 for the JibJab Joke contest for having the best collection of Jokes and funny videos on JibJab. That was the only thing I ever won.

Bought quite a few lottery tickets and never won more than $10.

  It's a bit of a coincidence that I found this thread just by clicking new posts, I was just about to search for a thread about online competitions, or create one myself. I often enter the comp's that are advertised on the tv that you can enter online for free and was wondering if it was worth my time. Does anyone else enter these? GMTV and This Morning for example.

Cool. I had won a trip for 2 to Prag with hotel etc. Wanted to go with my wife, but didn't end up doing it. Anyway. Congratulations !
