Hi there

Does anyone know how to get rid of the meta links on a Wordpress site...

"Meta
  • Log out
  • Site Feed
  • Comments Feed"
Any ideas are most welcome.

Best Regards

Matt

It depends on the theme and widgets in use.

mattpaul2000, Istvan knows more about WP than I will ever know, but what works for me is go to appearance-> widgets and just put you mouse over the meta box in the side bar and move it out of the side bar.

Yes it could be in your sidebar widgets - under 'appearance' >> 'widgets'

If not, then it would be in your sidebar.php file I would think.

You have two options. If you have a theme that is able to have widgets (which most themes are these days), it's possible that you can find it under Appearance - Widgets. If it's in the sidebar, just drag the Meta widget out there. On the same note, if it's not there, but you want to add widgets to your sidebar, all the default ones will be removed once you add a widget yourself.

If you want to remove it from the code of your theme, you'll need to edit your sidebar.php file and remove all the code related to the Meta area.

    Hope this helps,

It could just be part of the default set of widgets that Wordpress adds.

If it is, just go to widgets, add a blank text widget and the default set will disappear, leaving you with an empty sidebar.

Try checking your widgets. There might problems with your html data.
