The way to get great affiliates is to make a product that's affiliate-worthy. What do I mean by that? Here are a few tips I would suggest:

1. Put your all into it and make GOOD CONTENT. Not just some rehashed junk that everyone else is already saying. Put your own spin on it, but make sure the quality is good.

2. Work on your conversions. Try to get your squeeze/sales page as optimized as possible so that it converts.

3. Build a strong backend. By having multiple products, and deepening your funnel, you are setting your system up for multiple sales from each individual, which results in more money.

4. Track everything and be able to provide proof. It's great to be able to say to a potential affiliate that you set your system up, your conversion has been XX%, which gives you a visitor value of $X.XX.

The main thing is this - You want to be able to show your affiliate that they WILL make a significant amount of money if they send you traffic and that your product is a great product that stands out from the crowd.

In terms of where to find affiliates - that depends on what your niche is. Network with other bloggers, forum members etc. Nurture relationships using social networking sites. The best affiliates are people you have relationships with, who have websites with a decent amount of traffic.
