What is Your definition of , attained success through Internet Marketing ?

And perhaps for the newer marketeers [I number among them ],what is Your perception/definition of the phrase, '' having made it in Internet Marketing '' ?

Curious ,

Success means different things to different people.

For some people, success means just making money.

For me, success is having freedom. My business gives me the freedom to travel or break when I need to. It also gives me the financial freedom to know that my kids will be taken care of.

Yes Mr. Rose the question is broadly ambiguous . I ask I guess as a way to ascertain a definitive answer when there really is none .
Freedom , yes indeed that is huge with all that word conveys . Time no longer the dictator but rather a manageable feature in one's lifestyle .

      Thank-you ,

If you feel that Internet Marketing has brought you what you wanted to get out of it.

    Then you are successful.

We all want different things and have different levels of satisfaction.

It's definitely a personal question that everyone will answer differently. I imagine there are many people who will be excited to get enough money to pay the light bill at this time.

Sucess in general, including IM, or whatever career you have chosen, will be different for everyone.

For me, success is always about doing something that makes me happy. For me, that's having "my own" time, being my own boss, and a continuous learning process. Lucky for me I found something that is fun, exciting, and makes great money!

Eleary , the fun , exciting part you mention is interesting . Those feelings generated through IM would enhance the whole experience of earning through ones wits and a knowing keyboard . Self satisfaction means so much ,

My definition would be to make a living (money wise) through Internet Marketing.

I don't see any other reason why people would pursue Internet Marketing if they weren't making money.

Imagine going up to some and say, "Would you continue to do your job if you had $0 in your bank and you didn't get paid for the job?"

        Of course not!

Now, I threw in the "$0 in bank" because a lot of people on here have made $100k+... which is sufficient enough to last a few years on a middle class life style in America.

Swords , does money buy happiness ? A certain comfortable amount surely does ease much stress and pain in a whole bunch of Family situations , everywhere .
          100 large . It is a sweet number .

          Thanks ,

At the bare minimum, paying my bills without having an outside job.

tpw , bills paid up is a major for sure . A ''minimum'' to shoot for . Bills rule my life and need a dethroning .
      Bring out the gravy!

      Thanks for the input ,

Having "made it" to me would be independence, independence for me is quantifiable as to how much i need to pay bills, play and continue to save money, strictly from my IM income. There would be varying degrees of success along the way, just my .02.

Richard , two words stuck with me after the read . Independence and Save[ing] .

The independence is soul building , gives a self worth we all seek and need .
            Financially fortified and free .

Save . To actually own the ability to set aside funds , to grow , invest , hold for retirement counts big time . Looming ahead for the millions of boomers watching the egg timer run out on a lifetime of work , a dark age cometh .

Without savings and a pittance of pension doled out monthly , it looks pretty bleak for a massive aging population .

            thank-you ,

Freedom is one of the greatest things that internet marketing is providing for me. I love getting way more reward out of the amount of work I put in as compared to what the job market in this society can provide for me. It has really opened up this new lifestyle of having more time to enjoy life, which working a 9-5 job has never provided myself personally.

The best definition of success I've ever heard comes from
Earl Nightingale in his original work, The Strangest Secret.
I highly recommend listening to it many times... you can find
    it on You Tube.

    Anyway, Nightingale's definition is...

"Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal."

If you goal is to earn $50 via internet marketing and you
do that, you're a success. Same for those with loftier goals.

Each individual defines success as it applies to their wants, needs and desires.

Tsnyder ; progressive realization , I like that . Mr. Nightingale wise . I would assume partnered with Conant ?
      Much appreciated .

GeorgeL; a cash belching laptop , may this vision continue for you and start for me.

      Thanks' ya .

Resale Rights Ninja; Goals are a POWERFUL tool . Mine elude me occasionally.
      Thanks for the reminder .

bmarkater; I feel those words . To beat a 9 to 5 into submission via a warm , cozy , at home keyboard is a goal I strive for .

      Congrats and thanks .
