Great idea for a thread! I hope to learn from others.

The way I make money online is through running a successful membership site and charging $27 per month.

The site explains many ways of making more money every month. I'm also going to be increasing my income soon as Im offering all my members the chance to make 100% on any referrals they send to the site (meaning they get paid $27 per month for every person they send to the site that becomes a subscriber). For this privilage it will cost a one off $67.

Theres LOADS of warriors who make a truckload of cash on the IM. But anybody who will tell you its EASY is full of BS. It takes HARD WORK to make money ... and YES a lot can be made just like in any other business ... *IF* you're willing to invest.

But usually the quieter warriors earn the most as the saying goes

I make my money by providing a service....graphics. I think providing a service is probably the easiest way to make money online. However...with this, I am trading my time for dollars, and there's only so much of my time, and only so much someone will pay for a minisite design. So my income with this can only get so high. Right now I'm starting to dabble with a few other things as well. With anything else in life, I believe the key is diversification, so if one income stream goes down you're not left out to dry.

A social experiment would be great to see.

For example after this thread dies down and warriors have all voted in the poll etc. We(meaning myself and the other newbies) make a pledge to earn a certain amount in a certain period of time.

And of course if we dont then we can be humiliated.

I think that one of the best ways to make money is to form something of a "mastermind" group with several other people launching a product around the same time as you are in a related area. Help each other out, commit incest with your lists if you must and compete like hell with each other. The compete part seems to really drive me and a lot of other people as well.

I do well by promoting dating - which I've been doing for over 7 years now. The hours, like in any kind of IM, can be long. Monday to Friday I put in 12 and 14 hour days; and put in slightly less hours on the weekend.

The best piece of advice I can give (here) is find something that works then multiply your efforts.

I plan to to a few things after christmas. If my mrs catches me investing on what she calls my "crazy ideas" this time of year im screwed. I have a pretty good plan of action in place, and im going to take some of the pointers i have been given here.

The thing is not to quit. I have been what i would call a I.M. hobbiest for4 years now, beein writing in forums, blogs, trying out all the BS systems, having failures, but i realized that i need to copy the successful guys.

Although I have a few niche sites in different and popular niches my main bread and butter income is from running an online service. Ultimately I would like to have more income derived from low maintenance niche sites and I intend to build at least one site a month. Some will undoubtably fail as nothing is for certain in this business. However, I will hope that many will bring profit - even a small profit from each is fine. If a site gives me $30 a week commission this will do. I'll just build more of them until I reach the level I have targeted for.

I've got a diverse set of income streams - some affiliate income, Adsense, resale products, and a growing collection of my own products.

There are 2 distinct approaches for my business. The first is to monetize my diverse interests and hobbies by creating quick content sites with affiliate links and Adsense when I get excited about some new thing. This is just a way to capitalize on the way I am.

The other approach is to build a collection of products and websites, etc. for more targeted and researched markets (there's still a strong element of personal interest in the topics, but these are the things I 'work' at even when I'm not 'feeling it' because it's part of a business plan.

Sometimes a hobby oriented project shows enough promise to crossover and create products. That's when life is very good!

At this point in my marketing/publishing career I am still not earning enough money to quit the day job. But, I'm seeing enough progress to know I'll get there soon enough.

Let me reveal the truth according to my experience. Some people may not like to hear it. Some may disagree.

More than 99% are making money but most are just chicken feed. Less than 1% are filthy rich, I really mean FILTHY RICH. And the majorities are making this minority rich.

Or another thing you can do is what I'm about to do with my freelance writing business, because I have thought the same thing. Only one person, only so many hours in the day... So I am developing a team of freelance writers. I will get a small cut off of the jobs I provide for them, I will do the editing and tweaking. I will write for the new and more difficult clients and give the gravy or easier work away to team members. I will pay them as independent contractors with a 1099 at year's end.
I know it will work because I am part of another forum for Work at Home Mom's and many of them are afraid to even come over to this forum even though they know and talk about it. Some people don't break out of their comfort zone easily, so if I can provide the work and they don't have to do anything but write, some will be happy.
You could have a team of graphic designers....that way you'd probably be able to please everyone because of the differences in design styles. If you take a 20% cut off of the team's projects and 100% of your own, you can make a nice chunk of change.

I make money from niche sites and blogs as well as from IM review blogs and from a weekly 'new product bargain' site.

And I have three sites selling physical products too. Not to mention eBay!

It's hard work keeping up with it all, but very rewarding.

At least 100 millions a year. I could be wrong because this is conservative estimation.
