What Stats Tracking & Analytics Program Are You Using?

I'm trying to get some insights into Stats & Analytics programs provided by your hosting provider.

The issue is that my hosting provider provides AWS Stats and a Real Time Stats package as an upgrade.

Now, I've never realized this until I was reviewing hosting plans, but, never used the hosting providers stats packages. I've always simply either used
Google Analytics, or various Wordpress Plugins.

What I've noticed is that many people seem to use:
1. AWSTATS - which seems to be their stats tracking by their hosting provider.
I usually see these types of stats as screen shots more often then any other type of stats package.

So my question is:
1. Is there a specific reason to use AWSTATS vs. a Real-Time tracking program provided by your hosting provider?

2. Which is better - AWSTATS or a 3rd party Real-time tracking package?

3. What tracking & analytics are you using -- Besides Google Analytics?

I use analytics, I used to just use my hosting's.

The one thing to realize is that all stat programs vary a bit because of how they count stuff so really the most important thing to do is to just stick with one service. This way you can get an idea of the change in traffic/sources/etc.

I use GA. works great. I have noticed though that AW stats and GA show different numbers. I dont know why that is but I believe GA is more accurate data. Any insights by someone who has done some study/testing on this?
