Need some advice about making money

Hello, I'm new to this website and I'm think about making a Web hosting service. It's currently just an idea and I'm looking for advice as well as a general profit.

Personally, I'm just looking for a way to get a constant income of money in and I'm willing to take some time to do it. Please if you have ideas share them. As you can see I'm new to this website so...

Do you have experience in how to run a hosting service? Seems like a big undertaking for someone who is new....

Web hosting is a highly competitive market. If you don't have a specialty, your chances of success are slim. One thing you might consider is selling websites hosted on your service with a time limit on free hosting. After the time expires they must have moved their site or renew with you. You could even build the renewal into your payment plan for the site. It's up to them to cancel the monthly payments.

Hosting by itself would be a tough sell and especially if your target market is the Internet as a whole. If you do local web design then hosting is a great natural extension of that and can be built up to be very profitable.

Consider doing websites (for free or charge 'em) using the Wordpress platform and market locally then go for the hosting as a great revenue add on.

    Leave it to the experts.

You can be a re-seller for hosting companies or just an affiliate but to establish a web hosting business from scratch, you'll need big pockets and great yechnical and marketing staff.

Check out Hostgator.com for their re-seller package.

I think you need to think about getting a hostgator reseller account - all technical issues are managed by them and you still make a tidy profit, I wouldn't even think about starting your own hosting service it's far too much trouble.

  • This market is hard for new players to compete. I can suggest to look for smaller market, related to what you are looking to have. Ex: green energy web hosting / specific location web hosting / specific value web hosting

    Good luck

Affiliate Marketing. I didn't even recognize the opportunities that lay in front of me when I was just beginning--and nobody seemed to tell me, and if they did I didn't pay attention.

Without a doubt one of the best ways to make a passive income online is through affiliate marketing. Hell, you can even stay in the web hosting niche if you want. Promote a host's package locally to businesses in your area. I guarantee most of them are looking to save a quick buck. You can even do what I did. I used some of my affiliate earnings to give them "cash back" and I still made a nice profit.

I will say though that many of the local guys were charging the people in my area out the ass. I swooped in offered them an automatic savings of about $200 a year and that didn't include the cash back bonus I was running.

If you really want to go the webhosting route, I would very much encourage you to sign up for reseller hosting. It's a bet technical but not impossible to learn. Affiliate marketing would be infinitely easier.

I'm just here to earn easy money. I'm willing to work hard but mainly here for the money. Do you think you could teach me how to "Affiliate Marketing" or have any ebooks/guides?

Honestly, the way I did it was to use the search function on this site to find anything related to affiliate marketing. The main forum goes back an infinite amount of pages it seems, and this place is a gold mine of information.

I'm sure there are some guides in the WSO section, but most of the information can be read for free using the search function.
