I plan an One Week Experiment and I need this article marketing question answered!

Hello guys,
I am planning an one week experiment and it will involve article marketing.
When you post your articles the link that you post in your resource box where is it going?

From what I head to a blog post. But what are you doing. Are you posting blog posts in different niches on the same blog fi you are promoting more niches?

Can somebody explain this?

Thank You!

Could not make much out of your que. If you are trying to ask that whether posting articles of multiple niches are okay within the same blog for backlink purposes, yes it is. Don't know whether that answers your query.

I think I get what you mean. Not so long I ago I spotted an article on ezinearticles that talked about one subject but the article was pointing to a website about something very unrelated.

Obviously this guy/girl was into different niches but wasn't aware that if he changed the resourcebox it would be the same for every article nomatter the niche.

Now if you're into different niches and using ezinearticles and you want every resourcebox to point to different websites, you can do that by making up a pen name. You have the possibility in ezinearticles to write under different pen names (log in to your account and browse around, you can change your name somewhere in there and write under different names). This way you're able to write in different niches and every resourcebox can have a different text.

    I hope this was helpful.

      Hello Katya,

Thank You for your response. I was actually wondering if I should post all may pre-sale posts on the same blog even if they are in different niches.
Or should I get a new domain for every niche?

      Thank You!

Haha oh sorry I couldn't make out as well what you were asking.

And no I wouldn't post everything on the same blog. What if people browse around and discover you have an article on every topic under the sun on the same blog? Let alone it looks messy and unorganized and not very professional.

Actually I'm in the same boat as you. I plan to write a ton of articles in different niches, but as a newbie myself I don't have a ton of money to spend on domain names right now (plus I'm saving for something) so I only have a few (3-4) domains for different niches and the rest I will use a free platform for. Now I know it's best to invest in domain names but personally I feel this is the best way for me to go about it for now. I can always point these free platforms to a website later if I'm still interested in the niche. Plus I'm still testing niches so I don't really bother to buy a domain name for all of them yet.

If you have some money to spend, then I suggest getting a domain name for every niche. Or unlike what people say about .info domains, you can use an .info domain for websites that are not related to internet marketing. But it's up to you.

          Hello Katya,
I am thinking to do something like this.
Buy A domain for every major niche and make sub-domains for subniches.
          Something like:

          teethwhitening.healthforever.com
          nobackpain.healthforever.com

          etc

I am wondering what other think about this approach!

Great approach, BUT I don't think EZA feels the same way about it. Read their Terms of use.

.info domains are about $1 each at GoDaddy (with free privacy protection if you buy 5+ in one transaction). How many do you need?!

And don't listen to anyone telling you that domain extensions affect SEO: they don't know what they're talking about.

(There may be other advantages of using .coms, but that's another matter).

Please excuse my Sunday morning bad mood, but the words "one week experiment" make me wince. Article marketing is a slow business. You can't do (or learn) much in one week. :p

Actually I am not thinking only of article marketing. I am thinking of writing 10 articles each day, transform every article in a good looking video presentation, every video in another 20 videos having only one slide different, maybe in audio too.

I will post articles too article directories, videos to video sites, articles to sites like scribd and so on. I want to see what is my result. If I get at least 5 sales from this weel then I think article marketing is something worth pursuing.

The fact that article marketing is worth pursuing may be true.

But what some person ( like me ) thinks and what is actually true may be two completely different things!

Here are your options as far as the links go with the articles.

As stated above, Ezine likes a clean URL for each program you promote. So you can

                    1. get a bunch of dot infos or what ever and put your affiliate link in on the domain registrar so it goes directly to a sales page

                    2. link to a blog or page directly (that you own), so the viewer needs to click through your site before going to the sales page.

This is good if you are looking for SEO benefits and using a keyword rich domain to link or if you need to funnel the people through so they can get captured to your list.

If you are perhaps attempting to do what I think you might be attempting to do then you are sort of trying to do something I have big plans to do in January (my experiment will take much longer than a week and is involving some massive pre planning). LOL

And if that is the case, well, let me just toss something out at you here.

It won't be important which gets more views (articles or videos) but the real question to answer is which converts better.

Now if you are looking to just increase traffic to your site overall and don't care which is bringing you the money, then you are likely to be successful with that.

Anyway, best of luck with your experiment.

Here's what I want to do the following week.

I will probably choose only one niche for this challenge.

I will make a pre-sell website for that niche and products or products ( more products in the same niche)

I will drive traffic to that website trough articles, videos, and maybe audio.

Here's what I will do each day:

First I will write 10 articles.

Then I will transform every article in a video presentation.

Then I will get each video and transform it in 20 videos by adding one more different slide.

I will submit each article to many dufferent directories.

I will submit every artivle to sites like scribd.

I will use tubemogul to spread my video trough many video sites.

                          My questions is:

Should I make the pre-sell page that I drive traffic to a page with a pre-sell video on it? or should I make a text one?

Yes, she is correct in my book.

.com is for branding or type in benefits - but for overall SEO the extension should make no difference.

We have a plethora of threads with this debate here on the forum. You may enjoy some reading on the topic so you can make your own conclusion.

I don't think anyone can tell you whether a video or text pre-sell page will work better for you, no more than anyone could tell you what results you will get from your whole experiment.

Why not test both methods and see if one performs better that the other? That's the only way to find out.

Well, to be on the safe side you could Create the page in text, and put that up with the video version displayed above.

Ezine is going to want to see some content on that presales page - and I have heard they can be picky when you send someone to a video alone with nothing else on the site.

Then I will get each video and transform it in 20 videos by adding one more different slide.
So, you are going to have 10 articles and 20 videos or 200 videos?

        10 articles and 200 videos.

I will also ad the articles to sites like scribd and such

Probably I will try to make audios too and post in podcasts sites!

Laso I made this question in a different thread but I suppose I could ask it here too:

I am wondering how can I add an interactive flash video - Meaning you can click on something ( A button inside the video) and you will go to a site when you do that - to a sales page in a way that the video will start itself when the page is loaded.

The biggest mistake you can make is to do nothing because you can't do as much as you would like. It's not pass/fail here. Keep moving forward, no matter how slowly, or you will get nowhere.
