Suggestions on increasing my Website conversions?

Hello. While I say increase, I really haven't started a full blown marketing campaign. But if anyone would be so kind to take a look at my site, and let me know of anything you would improve or change completely (along with the reasoning if you can) to more effectively seal the deal on a sale with potential customers.

    A couple of suggestions...

    1. Shorten the video. It would be much more effective if I could see the transformation happen in 30 seconds or less.

    2. You just have some optin forms without any reason given for opting in. You have to give them a reason o join your list, i.e. a free report, free video, free lunch, whatever.

    I would put the video on the landing page. It isn't really clear what you want a potential visitor to do when they arrive. The book on the right side looks good, but there is nothing telling me to buy it. Also the opt-in form isn't really selling to me. Free updates and tips. How about 7 days to weight loss, or the 7 biggest mistakes that weight loss beginners make.

    Hi Justin

    Your video is way too long. You should get to the point and show results within 1 minute and 30 seconds. Most people don't have the patience to sit there and watch over 4 minutes of video with pictures of you slowly losing weight.

    Also, the video should be redone and focused on here's my results and this is what my book can do for YOU too!

    People who want to lose weight are looking for easy solutions, so how is your information gonna help them?

    Sure, it works for you, but how does your success translate to their problem?

    Once you figure out how to focus more attention on your target customer, you'll increase conversions.

    To me, it seems like the whole webpage is just randomly thrown together.

    I don't understand what you want the visitor to do.

    Are you looking to add Twitter/Youtube/Facebook subscribers?
    Are you looking for people to sign up for your list?
    Are you looking for people to buy your product?

    You might want to think about having a separate page or subdomain for what you are trying to do (whatever that may be )

      Hi, well the ultimate goal is of course to sell the product. I actually had the entire homepage as the sells letter, but I decided to break it up as I saw this is what other popular weight loss products do (not having the buy now button on the landing page).. If there's anything I can think to tweak, I will, thanks for the suggestion.


      And to flying success, yes, that's me, lol. And thanks very much. It was a dedicated 8 months and the best thing I've ever done in my life. And I will definitely also look into that suggestion of adding some info / subtitles as the video is rolling (and will of course shorten it). Thank you.

    Wow! Who is that guy at the end? Is that you? My husband does video productions for a living and he recommend adding tidbits of information to read as they are looking at your improvement pictures....things you were doing but provide teasers so they will want to purchase what you are offering. It defintely needs to be shortened - people will get the point in half the time. Good job on the weight loss!!!
