Changing Your Camtasia videos To Play Properly On IPODS

Just a quick quiz guys and gals.?

I have 4 clients that want to play my vids on IPOD. How do I go about changing my camtasia vids to IPOD playable. It this MOV files or MP4 like my nephew was hinting. What format do I need to put them in.

I have a stack of videos and might as well back them up while I am at it. Does anyone know the quickest and easiest solution??

I am having a bit of trouble doing this?

Any thoughts / help would be most appreciated.

Cheers.

It sounds like it depends on which version you are using.

Here is an older thread discussing this topic:

I convert videos to use on my Ipod. When you click produce in Camtasia you can select the size and format of your video from a dropdown box. Just choose the one that says Ipod.

This will produce videos you can upload into Itune and then on your Ipod.

      Cheers

Which version of Camtasia you are using, sorry.

I looked over the thread and it sounded like version 6 already allows you to do this.

I know version 7 is out (because I have it , so that information might be outdated.

Ok, so I gather now you mean they just want to download the videos then watch them on their ipod. I use Camtasia 6 as well and when you export the video you will see one of the options is to make the video iPod ready. You don't need to stuff around with all these programs that convert videos. Just save it in the correct format when you export it. The option is right there in Camtasia 6.

Click 'Produce Video As' and then in the drop down box that usually shows 'Web', go down and select 'Ipod' or 'Iphone' depending on the one you want to create the video for.

      Simple!

CS 7 has it as a menu selection for iPod, iPad and iPhone so you don't need other programs.

I have software I update every other version (like Photoshop), but I always update to every new version of Camtasia Studio. It is such an essential tool to me.

I dont know where I would be without it.

many pieces of software are overpriced.....but I would not care if camtasia was $2000 a pop....it is a great program, and now I have learned how good the lastest version is.

It depends, are you talking about videos they can download from your site and then play on their iPhone or iPod touch? or are you talking about videos you want to host on your website so that people can play and watch them straight from your website on their iPhone or iPod touch?

          Seems like it is working!

I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out, as I am not the most technical nerdy guy out there LOL.

          Thanks again bloke.
