My first eBook - Questions

Hi! I'm Morty White.

I'm producing my first product now on how I had success on Facebook. I'm putting it all in a eBook and I wondered if someone have sone tips or tricks to share with me?

Thanks,
Morty

Have a read around the forum for threads relating to product creation. Find Kevin Riley, a fellow warrior with a high reputation. He has some superb product creation and marketing tutorials which will help you from first draft through to first sales.

Definitely go check out Jason Fladlien's stuff on product creation, the guy's a master at creating high quality ebooks fast. He's got an awesome system that he uses for creating ebooks very very fast. It's called the 48 hour report, and he goes through the process of research and the writing of the report itself, where he focuses on addressing the four learning styles - why, what, how, what if. Good luck!

As many pages as you need to communicate your message. No more, no less.

Have your benchmark be VALUE GIVEN, not an arbitrary page count.

Unless you are going the $7 route your eBook may have some trouble for two reasons:

    1) A lot of FB bashing is going around so people are getting scared of buying yet another product.

    2) One FB course just came out on clickbank and Ryan Deiss just had a Black Friday Bootcamp for $7 + a full blown webinar course going on now.

Just some words of caution, but I am in no way trying to discourage you. Just hang in there if the conversions don't roll in off the bat.

I have had my best results with solo ads and mobile marketing to get people on my list and then trying to get the conversions with the followup emails. Even if they don't buy my product, I can usually recoup the initial cost of the lead by offering other niche related stuff down the line.

I publish through Amazon. You will need ISBN. Purchase a block of them.

When did Amazon start requiring ISBN for ebooks? Is this something new?

I don't think you need to consider too much about the number of pages, since it doesn't have great effect on your ebook. Maybe the quality of your ebook is more important. Do the best you can to make you ebook attractive and useful!

As this is your first product, a short low ticket ebook at $7 is probably the best way to go. For an ebook of that price, you're looking at around 14 pages, 1600 words. Focus on one big problem and one solution.

I was thinking maybe $7 as a WSO and $17 or $27 as clickbank price. It will end up with more than 14 pages and 1600 words.

In my opinion go for the clickbank and wso route, $7 WSO and $17 clickbank. The trouble with facebook ebooks is that they are all the same, there are no new methods out there at the moment as facebook is shutting them down so quickly. I don't know what your method involves but be careful as facebook may shut it down as soon as you start selling it.

Ok, thanks. Was thinking about prices like that. I know, many people use the same content over and over when it comes to facebook, but you can almost say the same about other things too. So facebook shuts down sites that shows how to make money on facebook? Any examples?

Good luck with selling an ebook. I am in the process of setting up my first sales page for my first ever Teach English ebook. You can see the un-finished sales pages at ESL GAMES.

Do a follow up on how you got your ebook onto Clickbank...because I am trying to learn how to do this now, too! THanks and goodluck.
