Hey you twitter folks - help please...

My updates are not showing up properly. I write an update in 140 characters or less and submit it but I don't see the text showing up on the page.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Ken

    Hi Ken

I only started using twitter last night and have been learning all I can today.

Are you sure you are using 140 characters of less? When I started I ignored the number at the top of the box and then realised that if it was a minus, I'd written too many characters - Doh!

There's a few threads on the go for twitter so you're bound to get your answer soon. There's also a social group!

    Best wishes

    Mary

      Mary,

I'm positive my messages are below 140 characters. When you go to my page can you see my updates written there?

I can see updates on *other* people's pages but not my own - and it makes no difference whether I'm logged in or not. I don't see them either way.

      Confused......

Ken, change your text color in your settings to something besides white.

Your text is there (click and drag over it to highlight it and you'll see it).

Should take all of 2 seconds to fix.

Not at all, it's not obvious at all. Maybe it's me but it's kind of weird that the text color has to be the same for your Tweets and the sidebar, etc.

You'd think they could CSS that up for us, eh?

I have this problem with FireFox! I have to hit the refresh button to make things work.

    See if that doesn't help.
