IMHO, learn the business of marketing first. Get on every list of everyone. Stay on the ones you like, get off the ones you don't.

Start compiling material on each aspect of your business...website building, hosting, A/R's, merchant accounts, product and most of all...learn how to drive traffic.

  Craigslist is good for advertising and selling products. You can select the region where you would like to place the ad. The ads can be categorised and they don't take much time to get published. The best way to increase traffic and get leads.

  You must watch out on craigslist ..They Frown upon advertising outside your local area...And when they find out that you are ..They flagg certain ads and stop them in your tracks..But threaten to revoke your membership especially whem it comes to mlm..A quick solution: do not leave tel # on out of area ads or any other info leading to where your from...Its the other consumers with "rat" in them that flaggs the account ..It just happened to me this weekend..

  ya I don't focus my marketing on craigslist anymore it really is an "uphill battle" I just don't even put any energy into craigslist anymore

And although I don't know Ryan personally and I'm not in his group, I'd recommend that you join his group, if for no other reason than because 'connections' and relationships here can be golden.

The two most important bits of info I can give you about craigslist.

1.) IP proxies
2.)Mulitiple e-mail addresses

In my experience Craigslist is an uphill battle against their strict affiliate marketing policies and picky flag-happy user community.

If I were you I would get your own domain and build a list. Then sell on your own terms.

I have what you call being a little obsessive ha ha. No not really I just finally began to recognize the power of youtube and video. I struggled for a year losing almost my life savings looking for a legitimate marketing strategy and I finally began to utilize youtube.

Nick,

I simply did a search for "using Craigslist" on Google and found quite a bit of useful free information. That should get you going.

After that, as you learn more, you can be more specific as to what exact questions you have about what you need to know. Then you can either Google these, buy an ebook, or ask here or on some other forum.
